Over reacting I see.
When the OJ saga started a coworker a black woman that was offended by the term African American, her family came here after the civil war, no slaves in her family. She was Black American as were her parents, grand parents and great grand parents.
We got to talking about OJ and she strangely started the old he was framed bit. I listened to her and backed off, she was a good friend and something as silly as a passing openion at the very start of the case was nothing to end a 5 year relationship over.
Friendship is valuable and rare, we have to over look some quirks in each other, fancy having to live around people just like you in thinking. How do you learn or grow without the ideas of others ???
Perhaps the ideas from your view point are wrong, but it gets one thinking if one listens, sometimes there is a gem of truth hidden in their ideas that we need to dig into to find out.
Friendship may take work to keep, but it is worth it in the long run. One cannot chose their family, only their friends, I have been told that when a person dies few have more true friends then the fingers of one hand.
