Dear "take away guns and only bad guys will have them" People,

WHO GIVES A S#*T? We are not talking about the guns that "bad guys" have because they aren't the ones killing dozens of people. Of the 62 mass murders committed since 1972 and the 142 weapons possessed by those 62 mass murderers MORE THAN THREE QUARTERS of those weapons (that is more than 75% to the math challenged) were obtained LEGALLY. That is more than 106 of the 142 weapons. Obtained. Legally. We are not talking about guns owned by bad guys. We are not talking about guns stolen, guns smuggled, or guns obtained in illegal ways. We are talking about guns purchased and owned by "good guys".

Another interesting element in the 62 mass murders since 1972? 32 of them, more than half, were committed AFTER the assault weapons ban expired. Now you can claim Constitutional right (which is in itself incorrect) and you can claim that "only bad guys will have guns" and you can attempt to justify, whine, wheedle and threaten all kinds of really stupid things but the correlation is absolutely impossible to deny:

Legal, unfettered access to assault weapons is the reason that the children in Newton are dead. It is the reason the students in Red Lake, MN are dead. The reason the students at VA Tech are dead and the reason the people in Arizona are dead.

An assault weapons ban will not keep these weapons out of the hands of "bad guys". But it WILL keep them out of the hands of "good guys" who have never been in trouble with the the law and who, for whatever reason, decide one day to take an assault weapon with a high capacity clip or magazine into an elementary school, movie theater, mall, place of work or Congressional "meet and greet" and kill as many people as they can before committing suicide or being killed/apprehended by the authorities.

And let's face it, most of you couldn't care less about who the "bad guys" kill. After all, with the exception of bystanders who get caught up in the cross fire, bad guys kill other bad guys...and they do it on "the other side of the tracks" and not one of you cares about that, right? You really don't care about the bystander either. If you did then it would mean you would have to do something about that and what's one more dead drug dealer or prostitute or person who isn't "like" you. Right?

So, cut the crap.

DUmmy who we've never met, and doesn't know what it's talking about: You are WRONG! What in your mind makes them "good guys?" The fact that they purchased firearms legally? No DUmbass. That makes them sneaky, and much more clever than you, or anyone hanging around the Island. Not every bad entity does EVERYTHING bad. That's what you fail to realize. In fact, they may act the perfect lady/gentleman until they can do what they set out to do. Then hell breaks loose, and you people decide; "Oh, well, he purchased them legally, so he must be a good guy." WRONG! He's a bad guy who did something lawful. He's still a ****ing nut. Thus, we need more background checks or something. Not to abolish all guns. Give people head checks or something before they can ever own a gun. But those that pass can still own a gun! Idiot.

Okay you convinced me. Lets ban all guns. Then we have to ban hammers. Every person who has ever used a hammer to kill another person only had the hammer because hammers are legal and sold with no restrictions. So as soon as the guy with the hammer who is a legal hammer owner uses that hammer to kill someone he is no longer a good guy. If it weren't for hammers how many people would still be alive today?

I am so sick of these anti gun people who are ruled by nothing but emotion and fear of guns. They have every right to have nothing to do with guns if they hate them so much, but they have no right to take away something that our Constitution says very clearly that we can own and use. Seriously if we ban guns criminals will still be able to get guns very easily. Don't believe me? Pot is illegal as are many drugs yet if I really wanted to get some all it would take is a trip into a certain part of town and some cash and I could have those drugs in my possession tonight. If we ban guns what makes you think that getting a gun will be any harder than getting a dime bag? It will be more expensive, but it will be just as easy. Then as an added bonus those who follow the laws will be helpless if one of those bad guys decides to pay them a visit. The police will come they will get there just in time to draw a nice chalk outline around the bodies of the law abiding people.

600+ murdered in Chicago last year. Almost all by sons that look like 0bama and strictest gun laws (a virtual ban) of legal gun owners.

Stop the MSM from making pseudo heroes out of these mass murderers. Just announce that their has been a mass shooting somewhere and that on the spot the unnamed perpetrator was nutted, gutted, drawn/quartered, cooked and fed to the hogs.

The Gun Free School Zone Act was passed in 1990. How many of those 32 occurred in GFSZs or other places where firearms were prohibited? See, DUmmie, places like that are called a victim rich environment where the bad guys know there is little chance of meeting any resistance. Why do you think you never hear of massacres happening at gun shows, gun stores, shooting ranges and police stations?

Ah, so it's comparisons the primitive wants.

I'm going by faith the numbers the primitive gave are correct.  More than likely they're a lie, too.

62 mass murders in 40 years or 1.5 people a year.  Pretty good I'd say in a country of 300+ million.

Compare that to how many could have potentially died had other citizens not been armed or just the knowledge that others could be discouraged the mass murderer from acting out.

142 weapons over 40 years.  How many weapons were purchased by the population as a whole over those 40 years?  And what percentage of that number is 142?  Would it even register as 1/100,000ths of 1%?  That would probably still be too high.

Nuff said.

Tell ya what, Trof, YOU come take them. It won't be the military, it damn sure won't be law enforcement in my state of Georgia (At least in my extremely conservative county that happens to have it's administrative buildings on Ronald Reagan Drive), nope, you. You Progs have to come and take them. I live in the Augusta area. Bring it.

Oh, and if you want to call the U.N. and get them to help you, go right ahead. Just make sure they give you one of those funny little baby blue berets as well. It makes for a great target.
