Joliet Authorities: 4 Young Adults Rob, Murder 2 Friends, Then Continue ‘Party Atmosphere’

JOLIET, Ill. (STMW) — Police say four young adults — one the son of a Joliet police sergeant — lured two friends to a house robbing them and strangling them to death.

After the murders, the suspects “continued the party atmosphere” even after attempting to dismember the bodies until being surprised when police arrived, Joliet police Chief Mike Trafton said.

“This is one of the most brutal, heinous and upsetting things I’ve ever seen in my 27 years of law enforcement,” Trafton said Friday. “Not only the crime scene, but the disregard for common decency toward human beings.”

Adam M. Landerman, 19; Alisa R. Massaro, 18; Bethany L. McKee, 18; and Joshua F. Miner, 24, were charged around 4 p.m. Friday with six counts of first-degree murder for the Thursday deaths of Eric Glover, 22, and Terrence O. Rankins, 22.

All four suspects are being held in lieu $10 million bond.

Around 4 p.m. Thursday, police were notified about two dead bodies in Massaro’s house at 1121 N. Hickory St. in Joliet.

When officers arrived they noticed movement inside the house so they went in, Trafton said.

Aren't gangbangers just great folks?

Everyone is way too old to be treated as kids. All are legal adults.
There was a time when premeditated murder was death or at least life in prison.
Now it will be what, 17 years? 10 with good behavior?

These young adults need to visit the gas chamber and soon.

6 counts of murder seems to be kind of hard to avoid a life sentence no matter who the judge is but then again I thought that guy I caught was going to spend life in prison too.

I was thinking the same thing but I took it a step further.

With bail all will be on the streets for another 3 years as their lawyers fight the court system.

Scenario, all 4 sentenced to 20 years, except for the females that will get pregnant and pop out 2 baby's in  the time before the trial.

These young woman may just be charged with some kind of accessory to the crime and get 5 years cut down to 20 months or time served if no bail for them.    [ Yes one can become pregnant in jail, there are male guards  willing to help them along.]

The young men, well 20+ years cut down to 10 is a time for them to get an education, free College etc.

When they get out they will be early 30's with a degree in something and find a job working for Acorn or the ACLU.

They have 30 years ahead of them to marry, raise a family until they retire as outstanding Citizens.
