Less and it was only for few days of 2013. Does this means it will be much less by when I get paid again on Jan 18?

I understand my social security contribution is not a tax but why we ( the working class) must sacrifice all while the higher income earners don't?

Even someone making less than me ( around 20k) will pay more ( around 1.6) than domeone making 400k.

We need cash on hand more. We drive the economy why are we being punished by Obama and the republican congress?

Your taxes went up on the full amount of hours worked for the entire pay period, only since it ended in 2013 is the entirety of it taxed at the higher levels.

So your subsequent paychecks should only be down 50 dollars as well.

We need to fully fund Social Security, the payroll tax holiday was a bad idea to begin with.

(Doesn't mean we can't lift the ceiling and make the rich pay their fair share as well.)

If only we take even more from the rich then it won't be so bad that our paychecks are smaller.

Look on the bright side. I guess Obama and Michelle can afford to take an extra vacation next year and also add another 54 Christmas trees to the White House decorations. It sucks that Hollywood got an exemption though. Aren't they part of the greedy 1%?

Huh?   If I'm not mistaken, the vote in the House was 86 Repubs for and 151 against.  It was the Dem votes that put it over the top to pass.

Somewhere back in there as a kid my daddy told me this:  'son, there ain't no free lunch'. Over the years he brought that up several times, life has taught me daddy was RIGHT....but Dims don't get that.  Could it be their daddy was just not a smart man?  Or do they just not learn the lessons of life?  Or are they just so stupid no matter the education level that they just cannot get it?

BTW... I thought that only the SS contribution went up. That comes out to about 400 a year for you. For 50 you would have to gross around 2500, assuming paycheck is twice a month. Sounds like other shit went up to me. I ain't got my first check this year and won't till next week. Maybe payroll hadn't got the old rates put in. I dunno and I don't care. Sounds like you gonna have to cut out the weed and cheetos.
