Desperate DUer Self-Deletion After Rush Reveals Tax Complaint Post

Imagine the situation of poor DUer NCTraveler. He makes a post at the Democratic Underground complaining about the increase in 2013 taxes that now takes a bigger chunk out of his paycheck. No big deal he must have thought. Just another post among thousands. In fact, he probably forgot about the post by the next day...until Rush Limbaugh read it for all the world to hear and laugh at. Now panic sets in and NCTraveler, desperate to avoid more mockery, self-deletes his post so as to remove the "incriminating evidence" of his laughable absurdity.

Too late. Rush Limbaugh not only read out his post on the air but placed a transcript on his website of his comments along with NCTraveler's tax complaint which preserved it in EIB amber for all eternity. Here is what El Rushbo said:

I found it interesting that your posts from the past show that you KNEW the temporary tax cut was coming to an end. Yet you acted so surprised that it happened. You made an OP complaining about the president and Rush read it for all his minions.... very odd

69. Hold on just a minute. The poster was asked to delete it.

I and another MIRT member asked if the poster would delete and they very kindly responded and agreed.
 It was a flypaper thread and we were inundated with trolls. I'm not sure of the amount we nuked yesterday, but it was probably near 40.
 MIRT was doing a great job, but honestly, it was overwhelming.

Please don't ascribe bad motives to the delete. Also your accusations are unseemly and not fair. It's like you want to bait and humiliate the poster.

I looked around and at first .. they tried to deny that the post said anything like Rush was saying.

A member (And NOW .. a former member) pointed out that they were looking at and 'denying' the wrong post!

That member is getting torn to shreds now that he/she said that they were leaving the forum!

This forum is extremely informative. Thanks for that.
 I honestly truly appreciate the depth of information I get here. I've learned a lot about Liberal / Democratic ideology, and politics in general. I never really cared about politics until Obama came along. Now I care deeply. I check the site constantly for breaking news and interesting debate. I'd like to extend my gratitude to all who offer opinions here, and to those who created the forum in the first place.

That being said, my naivete has been interpreted several times as trolling, or "peddling," or dishonest in some way, which is simply not the case. It has always been in the interest of better informing myself.

Just want to say that.

I'll be cancelling my membership here.
