What's for Dinner ~ Sunday Nov 25th
Allo!

I'm thinking cheeseburgers tonight!

You?

Cheeseburgers for dinner? What a slovenly, lazy cook!

If rumors are true, "Lucinda" presses the burger down until every last drop of grease and blood is gone, leaving a gray, tasteless well-done patty.

2. Gnocchi with alfredo sauce, shrimp, and ciabatta garlic bread.
Now this is more like it!

A typical DUmmy cook lie with the required minimum of three foreign words.

3. Turkey breast!

Dressing, brussels sprouts, gravy, whole-berry cranberry sauce. Didn't get my fix on Thursday.

A lie from one of the original Andyscam participants, but she puts herself on the suspected-troll list by failing to use any foreign words.

But, eeeewwww, was it necessary to mention brussels sprouts?

I think "Brussels" counts as a foreign word. A delicious foreign word, just add butter and Parmesan cheese!

What no rosemary grown on the sunny side of a rare willow tree grown only in the southernmost region of guinea? No organic shreds of cheese made from cows raised in a luxury resort setting? They really are slacking over there. All the thanksgiving braising, pureed this and that, reduction, amuse bouche must have worn them thin.  :bawl:

Whoa, now. I have to object to "reduction" being on your list. Of course, Manly cooks call it "cooking down". Cooking down beer, broth, or wine is an important part of Manly cooking!

I made Thanksgiving steaks with bacon and mushrooms in red wine sauce. I cooked down red wine, "Better Than Bouillon" vegetable stock, and bacon grease until it thickened.

I'll count it as foreign, because I don't want something so repulsive to be regarded as domestic.

I like most any food. I've enjoyed live snails and the stomach contents of squid in Asia.

But I cannot handle Brussels sprouts.

I'm not sure red wine sauce has a place in manly cooking - it sounds kind of French.

But I do love shrimp in red wine sauce.

I'd pass on the half-digested squid food, but would go for the live molluscs! They sound like oysters that can get away from you... very, very slowly.

Maybe with a side of Brussels sprouts and lemon juice on it all.

Oh, no. It's definitely Manly. The wimminz dig it, but they don't get the urge to tell you about their feminine hygiene afterwards.

It tastes really good, too. When you pour the wine into the cast iron skillet, it picks up all that great bacon and mushroom crusty stuff.

You sir are no primitive however, so you do not throw the terms around in the interest of 'one-upping' fellow primitives. This is the distinction. I just find it amusing they have gone from their usual pretentious behavior to burgers and fries and I speculated it is because they are pooped from putting up airs around the holidays. Of course, they seem to be slacking off in that regard since hippywife left. :bawl: I miss the disability crew and their talk of fancy cheeses and sauces and how they can't afford enough groceries for the month read can't afford enough of the groceries THEY want to buy... :bawl:

Brussels Sprouts with turkey hash and brown gravy. :yum:

Better Than Bouillon is great!
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Please reconsider.

T***rs is a DUmp cooking forum affectation.

It's the mirror image of their foreign-language menu items.

I know what WON'T be on tonight's menu.

More turkey leftovers.

Going to have to freeze the rest. I'm over Thanksgiving dinner.  :thatsright:
Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....
