Interesting statistics from Alexa

India has almost 10% of the traffic of the US? I am guessing this is some weird routing result and not actually from people in India reading DU.

http://www.alexa.com/site...icunderground.com#Country

United States 69.4%

India 6.2%

United Kingdom 2.5%

Canada 2.4%

Pakistan 1.8%

1. If you click on comments youll find regs

Very surprised at Mineralman and Trumad comments.

I just thought of something.

Has anyone else noticed that in real life, the truemud primitive eerily resembles Jim Bakker of "Jim and Tammy" fame of the 1980s?

Almost a dead-ringer.

3. Undoubtedly those are from the idiots at Conservative Cave who make a habit of watching us more than we watch ourselves and then made bogus remarks using our DU names.

Uh, franksolich challenges the grantcart primitive to cite a single example where a primitive's been misquoted on conservativecave or here in the DUmpster.

The DUmpster's the largest repository of primitivia on the internet, the archives jampacked, and I welcome the grantcart primitive to look through it, finding one single solitary example.

<<very possessive of conservativecave's and the DUmpster's reputation for utter accuracy and honesty.

5. Ahh i see. I didnt think that far lol

CC and CU are pretty crazy. Especially CC. They seem to spend all their time watching us. I feel bad for them, they miss out on life  the poor bastards

<<doesn't miss out on life, not a bit.

4. The comment by johnny ricco appears to be legit

I remember when he was PPR'd and I think he moved on to CC.

Skinner-And then I get incredulous emails from people who are shocked, shocked that discussion of chicken -- chicken fercryinoutloud -- is not allowed. As if the discussion of chicken is something that is vitally important and that everyone is really interested in.

Uh, I missed out on something.

What does "PPR" mean?

It must've been discussed on Skins's island one of those frequent times franksolich was out in real life.

6. Maybe some content scraper bots coming from indian IP addresses.

They scrape web pages and rss feeds, then repost the content on their site.

Maybe some sock puppets also, routing through indian proxies to hide their ip addresses, but that's kind of far fetched for 6%.

Chicken? Don't have a clue.

No, DUmmies, I haven't missed out on jack because of CC.

The 75-hour work weeks the last two months have caused me to miss out on a lot of life, but so it goes.

And I'll be back to a "normal" schedule starting tomorrow, thanks for your concern.

Confused.  :???:Chicken?  Don't have a clue.

That is old; that is ancient history.

Back during the spring and summer of 2005, during poor stupid Beth's Scamdal, my fellow alum Skins for a very brief time forbade discussion of the matter.  That wasn't enough to stop the scammers, though.

For a while, the scammers wrote in "code," discussing recipes for chicken soup in the cooking and baking forum.

Skins then tried putting a stop to that, by forbidding discussion of chicken soup.

It was like a three-day circus, full of hilarity, before my fellow alum relented and let poor stupid Beth and her acolytes discuss the Scamdal again.

Yeah.  We have that here too, but rather than Hindus, it's the Red Chinese.
