How much damage has the Republican Party done to our country??

I would say a tremendous amount.

We would not have the debt we presently have if not for the policies of the Republican Party. I think that is a fair and honest statement to make.

We would not have the unemployment we presently have if not for the policies of the Republicans. We would not have had the terrible economic crash if not for the ideas and policies of the Republicans. We would not have spent a fortune on the wars. We would not have had a "war on terrorism". That was a creation of the Republican Party.

We would not have had the present division we now have if the Republicans had not filibustered everything passed in the House and if they had not held the budget hostage to the continuation of the Bush taxcuts and causing our credit rating to go down.

Just how much damage have the Republicans done to our country?

Hey Ken**** 2008 called they want their blame Bush meme back.  :-)

What budget has the GOP held hostage? Twice the GOP sent a budget to Dingy Harry and the boys, and he put it right in the trash can. If anyone is holding the budget hostage it is Harry Reid.

this country can never recover from the damage they have inflicted on it

Never

Way too late to turn back the climate change clock, all the war crimes, stolen elections, monsters sitting on the Supreme Court,
Fox indoctrination of the low info voter, loss of life, loss of liberty and on and on

Wow they blame Fox for the indoctrination of 0bama voters.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

This is absolutely true. If the Republicans hadn't done so much to limit borrowing, the debt would be far higher.

We would not have the unemployment we presently have if not for the policies of the Republicans.

Again, absolutely true.  If the Democrats had kept their free hand, the unemployment rate would have skyrocketed along with the debt, and Taxmageddon would have already hit.

Quote
We would not have had the terrible economic crash if not for the ideas and policies of the Republicans.

Again, true.  We would have had a far worse crash, and far earlier, without the Republicans doing what was possible to reduce it.

We would not have spent a fortune on the wars.

Um, War on Poverty, anyone?

Quote
We would not have had a "war on terrorism". That was a creation of the Republican Party.

Again, absolutely true.  The Democrats would have fallen all over themselves to see who could kiss more terrorist butt if the Republicans hadn't been in charge when the results of Clinton's failure hit.

Now that is just funny!!  It wasn't the extreme rate of borrowing that did it (as we've seen happen to European countries), it was the Republicans fighting the extreme borrowing!!   :rotf:

Leftists see what they believe.

Decent & civilized people believe what they see.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Fear is an incredible thing to behold, is it not?
"We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and then bid the geldings to be fruitful."

C.S. Lewis

A community may possess all the necessary moral qualifications, in so high a degree, as to be capable of self-government under the most adverse circumstances; while, on the other hand, another may be so sunk in ignorance and vice, as to be incapable of forming a conception of liberty, or of living, even when most favored by circumstances, under any other than an absolute and despotic government.

Petulant children always blame the adults when they can't have something.

Liberal thinking is a two-legged stool and magical thinking is one of the legs, the other is a combination of self-loating and misanthropy.  To understand it, you would have to be able to sit on that stool while juggling two elephants, an anvil and a fragmentation grenade, sans pin.

"We would not have had a "war on terrorism"."

Well, the're right about that. If Gore were president on 9/11, he would have said something like, "Well, now, it's important that we not seek to pursue or punish the people behind this indicent. They are decent people just acting out of anger over something us Americans did to wrong them. I profoundly apologize to the world fo whatever it was. I have reason to believe they are angry over global warming, they way our American overconsumption is killing our planet. Therefore, effective immediately, to stop such incidents from happening again, I will be imposing a madatory carbon offsets tax onevery American citizen."
