Yeah because storms a totally new.  :mental:

Maybe if we were having these storms every other week then I might buy into this nonsense, but seriously an occasional big storm is proof that the earf is dying?  :mental:

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Or we could continue to ignore ALL the warnings and pump even more carbon into the atmosphere...

If you ignore it, its goes away. Right?

If you are so concerned about carbon being pumped out then quit breathing.

When they stop giving my farts storm names, maybe I'll listen.
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

2. Too bad most people laughed at him and called him crazy

He knew what was coming and tried to warn us, but noooo. Global warming and climate change are so foolish. These weather events are much more likely to be signs from God that gays and abortions are baaaaad, right?

3. Sandy is the catalyst to bring attention back to Climate Change

We must act on that after Obama is reelected!

Don't worry if 0bama wins another term the only carbon output will be from our own mouths and noses.

Possibly, population has gone up since then, more people breathing in and out will put more carbon in the air.  :-)

We are so ****ed. This storm is beyond anything we've dealt with before.

I think we'll ride it out okay, but it should serve as notice that climate change is not a myth. You've got to be ****ing stupid to think that it isn't real. I mean REALLY ****ing stupid. If these conditions we're in right now ever existed before, it was hundreds of thousands of years before now. Republicans are uneducated morons.

You have convinced me, DUmmy. I believe in global warming errr climate change and we must raise taxes immediately to save mother earf.

There have been a number of really bad disasters in the last 100 years....

No need to hyperbole one storm because some idiots don't believe science.

Funny when science has said there has been no warming for 15 years now, DU didn't seem to listen to science then.

3. The reality is very complicated

There is no way to link any 1 weather event to Climate Change. Not this hurricane, not this summer's unprecedented drought.

The generality of the effect makes the denial industry, which is run by very smart people, possible. They are smart, but only in forming arguments to fit an agenda of greed.

The teapublicans, whose biases are confirmed by the denial industry, are indeed idiots.

All we have to do is shut down all of America's industry.

The muslim has been working on that for nearly four years.

Hey, DUmmies!  Look up the 1900 Galveston storm, the Labor Day storm of 1935, and Hurricane Carla in 1961.  You'll think the frickin' climate has changed for the better.

Remember kiddies, a single weather event or a season is no indicator of climate change - unless its bad, then it is.

I'm not understanding the use of past tense.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

I called him crazy until I realized how much money he was making by stirring the climate change fears.

Not to mention some big hurricane back in the 1780's that sank a bunch of french and british ships up on the US northeastern coast. Then during the british setting fire to DC in the war of 1812 it got washed out by a hurricane.

Just in the nick of time before the entire city was burned to the ground, a hurricane showed up. The fires were put out and Ross ordered a full scale retreat back to their ships.

It's called weather dummies. Ain't the first time these storms have hit and won't be the last.

The Spanish Armada was demolished by a storm back in the 16th century.

This was no surprise, since it happened before fuel economy standards were imposed on American automakers.
