For the past 14-years, Paula Pace worked at the high school in Conrad.  But before she changed her name, Paula Pace was Paula Baniszewski, a convicted killer who, along with her family, tortured and murdered a 16-year old girl almost 50-years ago.  The high profile case led to several books and the 2007 movie “An American Crime”.

I remember this crime.  I remember, if my memory serves me, that Paula was threatened and bullied into participating by her own mother, Gertrude Baniszewski, and one of the older neighborhood boys. 

I'm sure she is no angel, but I don't think Paula is a danger to society.
