I quietened my RW family members with Islam to Mormon similarities

RW family members continued to say Obama is muslim and sent them information on how Prophet Joseph Smith founded the Mormon faith close to Prophet Muhammad and Islam. Told them Mitt is closer to Muslim than Obama.

I'm writing about what I've read.

The Latter Day Saint movement teaches the doctrine of exaltation, by which is meant a literal divinization. Certain similarities can be drawn between the two, though a significant difference exists in that Mormons believe that humanity may not only be given God's holiness and perfection but also his essential divinity or godhood. This doctrine stems from the movement's founder Joseph Smith, Jr., who taught that God the Father is an advanced and glorified man.

In fact absolutely Mormons believe they can become gods. That is absolute fact. An honest and aware Mormon will not deny it, but again many Mormons do not know their own faith.

I have many Mormon relatives too, and I lived many years among the Mormons. That is their doctrine. They can become gods, or for the gals, goddesses. A little wandering around the net will show you this is correct.

Mormons believe Jesus and God are two separate beings, both have eternal physical bodies and the God of this world also has an eternal wife with a physical body. Mormons believe the Holy Ghost is separate from Jesus and God and does not have a physical body. They also believe any Mormon may become the God of another world if they live according to the teachings of the church.

By the way, Mormons also believe men may be "sealed" to more than one woman during their life so they may become eternal polygamists in the after life.

While the Mormons you know may be lovely people they do not hold mainstream Christian beliefs.

At least those of us who tithe and get temple recommends and receive in a temple the special education that makes us employable in that capacity.

Frankly, mormons see eternity sort like Amway. We all get to move up as we create more folks in a lower station beneath us.

This is hilarious; the primitives have no idea what they're wiggle-waggling their armpits at each other over.

But at any rate, the primitives miss the main point; to decent and civilized people anyone no matter their religion has to be better than the stupid, shallow loser currently in the White House.

So Mormans believe that a man can become a god. DU believes that their democrat leaders are gods. By DUmmie logic doesn't this mean that DUmmies should vote for the Mormon?

THE DIFFERENCE:

Muslims can behead people, slaughter civilians by the thousands, shoot women for wanting an education, mutilate women to keep them from enjoying sex, take knives to their children in bloody rituals and demand non-Muslims adhere to their laws.

Mormons are worse than Muslims even though they do none of that stuff but because 1 Mormon is running for election against a Democrat.

my former neighbors were Mormon, I've been to their church, I've hosted them and their elders at my table, I'm even the godfather to their oldest daughter.

They are the most honest, decent, upright, honorable, and trustworthy people you could ever want to meet.

On the other hand, I've had an altercation with a muslim doctor my wife was seeing, who basically treated her like she didn't even exist. 

I told him I didn't give a rat's ass how his religion treated women, he will not treat my wife like that!  F'n raghead!   :argh:

I agree. I know some mormons as well, and they are some of the nicest people I have ever met.
