I can remember in Junior high when my civics teacher was saying that the Dems had a majority control of the house for 40 years?

Whenever I hear the primitives bitching about John Boehner, I recall what a pain in the ass Tipsy O'Neill as speaker of the House during the Reagan years, was.

Rabid obstructionist, Tipsy O'Neill.  An alcoholic jerk who prevented Reagan from doing a lot of good things.

John Boehner hasn't done Barack Milhous near the damage Tipsy O'Neill did to Ronald Reagan.  Not even close.

Tipsy was a putz, but (even though he blocked a lot of things) he was also one to work with Reagan on a lot of things. Reagan was a great compromiser; which is something that obama is not.

I'm surprised at the erosion of (R) congressmen in New York since 2000; that's got to be changed.

It's tough.  There just aren't that many good candidates coming along.
