ginnyinWI (13,487 posts) Thu Oct 11, 2012, 01:15 PMMineral rings in toilet bowlWhat can I do to dissolve them? It doesn't look like rust, but rather lime or whatever else came out of the water and built up along the water line. They don't scrub out. Help?

I bought a pumice stone in the housecleaning supply section at my local Walmart. You wet the stone, rub the stains and flush. Quite easy, IMHO, and I'm a disabled senior citizen. Cost about $2.

Did they cross the picket line?
Beat me to it! Did anyone call it on shopping at Wally World? Not worth rowing over to find out. Busy watchin' "the Joy of Painting".It and the Antique Road Show are the only programs worth watchin' on the Big Bird channel.
Clean it more than once a decade you wouldn't have those problems.
Lime Away or CLR DUmmie
The cheapest solution is vinegar and baking soda - the same ingredients used in a middle-school volcano science project. The foaming, slightly abrasive mix will clean hard water stains out of anything.
Nonsense. The only acceptable solution for this problem is a half dozen sticks of dynamite.
I like the way you think! ^5! Providing the DUmbshits stay in the room to watch!
I would further suggest that they remain seated during the procedure to ensure the blast is focused in the correct direction.
