Romney turns the Big Bird attack back on Obama!

In Van Meter IA, Romney told the crowd;

"These are tuff times, with real serious issues, so you have to scratch your head when the President spends the last week talking about saving Big Bird."

Crowd erupts in laughter.

Romney definitely has the ear of the American people right now. And is getting away with this "chameleon" strategy. People are buying it hook, line and sinker!

It's time we ditch the big bird attack, before it bites us in the ASS!
DUmmy only has 317 posts, so of course the other DUmmies consider his/her/Pat's opinion worthless.  Only a few responses, but all dismiss him.  Poor thing will probably get a pizza for his disbelief.
This too shall pass.

Caricature is too strong of a word for 0bama.

This is going to really get through those few microns of skin that Dear Leader has.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

With the blow-back Owebumya is getting, it's a wonder that the DUmp keeps it up.
Oh, ya, sorry. Forgot who we were talking about.  :banghead:
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

This guy has got to be the most arrogant cocksucker I have ever seen running for office in 50 years! I wouldn't give him a dime, which is what phone booths actually cost in my day, to call somebody who gives a shit!

This ****er is makin' Carter look like Ronald Reagen! That's as 'bout as far as i can put it! O'bummer is so useless, even Carter looks intelligent!

I was thinking the same thing, we have high debt, high unemployment, people are miserable, and you're going to talk about Big Bird?

The Five just said it's become a joke.

29. I can see this really bothers you.

Interesting. The ad and all of the Big Bird talk is obviously working or Willard and his tools wouldn't be giving it so much attention. And Willard, himself, wouldn't have mentioned Big Bird in every single stump speech he's given since the debate if the subject wasn't important to his base. Every time he opens his mouth about it, he's reminding every single adult PBS viewer on his disdain for them.

Better yet, the MSM covered the ad this morning. Tonight and tomorrow, they'll cover it AGAIN, reporting that PBS has asked it be taken down. Of course, it's already gone viral, so that bird has long since flown the coop.

WOW! these people really do have their heads in the sand.

BTW, the media should be talking about the economy and foreign policy not Big Bird, the fact that they're discussing Big Bird just shows how much they're in the tank for the Democrats.

Politico, NBC, ABC, MSNBC Criticize Team Obama's 'Absurd' Big Bird Ad

by John Nolte 9 Oct 2012

Quote
At the same time Team Obama released a childish ad hitting Mitt Romney for daring to consider removing multimillionaire, one-percenter Big Bird from the federal government welfare rolls, the Romney campaign released a devastating graphic that shows that since his debate debacle, Barack Obama has mention Big Bird and Elmo 13 times but has not mentioned Libya or his plan to fix the economy even once.

A media that is obviously disappointed with Their Precious One's debate performance and recent collapse in the polls, is not at all happy with this silly and stupid Big Bird attack. Politico criticized the ad as small ball, NBC News described it as "absurd,"  and ABC's Rick Klein seems confused by the desperate smallness of it:

Team Obama makes a play using … Big Bird? The new Obama campaign ad uses a mock-serious tone to jump on Mitt Romney’s most famous debate line. It’s all in good fun, but the contrast may not be what President Obama is after, not now, not in this race. Romney is getting more serious by the day, with a foreign-policy sp

eech and now Paul Ryan about to make the case for conservative fiscal policies. Romney marches toward Benghazi, while the president marches down Sesame Street?

Even MSNBC's Chuck Todd criticized the ad: "When is the Obama campaign going to stop talking about the debate? … They cannot seem to turn the page from the debate. ... Any conversation about that debate, I assume, helps Mitt Romney."

This is something we see very rarely in our corrupt media, a backlash against an obvious attempt by the Obama campaign to create a distraction away from the big issues of the day. Obviously, in the face of falling poll numbers and Romney's well-received foreign policy speech yesterday, Obama's Media Palace Guards just don’t see "absurd" distractions as good strategy at the exact time Romney is looking more and more presidential.

With middle class incomes deflating, four Americans recently assassinated by al-Qaeda, poverty and gas prices increasing, and the debt already saddling our children and grand children with mortgage-sized debt, Americans aren’t likely  to be any more enamored than the media with Obama's non-stop "smallness."

I was shocked that Romney would bring PBS and Big Bird into the debate.

It's was as stupid as something Slow Joe Biden would do.

You know what's really sad?

0bama cares more about saving Big Bird, who will be fine on his own, than he cared about our ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens.
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Throw in the fact that they make so much from movies and merchandising, I'm surprised the left don't consider Sesame Street the "Muppet Industrial Complex".

He only brought it up though to show the waste in Government spending in tough times.

Mitt Romney:  Why is Obama talking bout Big Bird and ignoring Libya and the economy?

That's not a quote, but similar to what I've heard Mitt saying since the debate.

I don't think so. PBS has been stickin' in my craw for 20 years!

Why the hell should we pay for something that can obviously take care of itself?

Big Bird, Elmo, The Cookie Monster, etc, etc, etc, have been able to pay their own way since I was a kid!

I saw yesterday that the guy who holds the rights to the Big Dilrod, is worth 12 mil!!!

We're talkin' the NPR crowd here! They even fired Juan Williams, for cripes sake, because he didn't tow the line!

Tell me what "right" leaning public broadcaster gets fed funding.

I hate to sound like the left but I think Mitt did it on purpose knowing that team 0 is bereft of ideas and would go all childlike on it. Either way as said before it worked out great with the stomping Romney gave it today. If something like this (a set and then a spike) happens again, it's team Mitt ****ing with the super genius and his team of super geniuses.

Isn't the Corporation for Public Broadcasting one of these corporation things that get DUmmies clutching their pearls? Isn't Sesame Street corporate welfare?

Does fried "Big Bird" taste like KFC or Chik-Fila chicken?
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

I know!  Fried bird!  Dog Whistle!  Dog Whistle!

The entire thing is absurd in a country going down the toilet.  A 10% unneeded subsidy for an entity capable of standing on its own.  A day and a half after the debate, every other thread at the DUmp had the words "big bird" in it.  Shut up and grow up, DUmmies.

Ye gods, it's an enormous thread.  Except for one other dissenting voice saying, "the press is laughing at us," all the other DUmpmonkeys are saying "full steam ahead with the BB!"   Advice from the DUmp should be turned 180 degrees, in all instances.
