I watched Survivor and then went to bed.  I CAN'T stand Obama's voice.  I knew I would get all the news from you guys anyway.  The real lowdown.

I didn't watch the whole thing either. The commentary afterwards gives you all the zingers anyway. 0bama will probably throw temper tantrums all day. Doesn't matter how much he did or didn't practice, you can't debate anyone when you don't understand the subject matter. Romney has forgotten more about the economy and job creation than 0bama will ever know. The foreign policy debates should be just as spectacular. The Arab Spring is blowing up in the boy king's face. Not much else is going well in the big wide world. Given Romney's business experience, which is how he's primarily dealt with other countries, he should be able to tie foreign policy to the economy quite nicely. And then there's the whole energy independence issue...I bet Romney even impressed some of the denizens of FR.

  He absolutely loathes the hard work of debate prep.  One reason it's so hard, is you have to put yourself in someone else's ideological shoes, to find what pitfalls and traps may come.  Can you imagine king zero doing that?

We have a business in a heavily democrat area. My wife does the "heavy lifting" in the business, so she gets to talk with almost everybody. Her impression is most people were undecided on the election.  

In 2008 people were very strong in their opinions. I will be interested in how things change over the next few weeks, especially after the debate.

You know, I was just thinking about the debate. No one challenges the left on their assumptions about the right. We don't have the added bonus of the media carrying our water so we have to have the facts on our side because the media won't let us get away with the stupid crap they let those on the left get away with. We have been living with the double standard for so long that we know we can't bluff our way out of a debate. There was no media there to selectively edit Obama's words or hide the debate completely fom the American people. This debate shows just how naked the emperor is.

I know, I saw some of that...it was almost surreal watching the sitting president with the same expression and stance my grandchildren have when I tell them they can't play on the trampoline. But, I had to run out to Walmart (you can do a 10 minute moneygram there) and send my son some money...he starts a week long exercise today and had to go buy some of his own equipment. Evidently, government issue isn't adequate.

I will try to watch the VP debate, though. If Biden is true to form it will be like Ferris Bueller takes the day off and hangs out with Raymond Babbitt channeling Tommyboy.
