3. If we get the House, pass all progressive legislation right away. No waiting. All the biggies, Everything within a few months: immigration reform, election reform, finance reform, tax increases for the 1% and loopholes closed. And then let it unfold. People will like what they see, and the majorities will stay majorities for a long time.
The above does not require courage. It is simple common sense made glaringly apparent after even a cursory look at the political landscape.
Immigration reform - The only reason you support this is that you think Hispanics will vote for your entitlement programs forever. That the mexicans that come over here are the ones that will get off their ass and work and want to provide for their families ought to give you a warning. You tell them we are racist. The problem is as they have more contact with us, they see who the racists are.
Election reform - I guess your bitching about the states actually tightening up regulations to make sure that only people who should be voting are voting. That isn't even going to fly among your fellow democrats.
Finance reform - I guess you really don't like unions being able to spend unlimited amounts of money on democrats.
Tax Increases - To pay for what? More of your endless mooching and grifting. I'll actually support a tax increase, as long as everybody has to pay in. No more 47% or any % not paying insome tax.
Loopholes closed - Home mortage is a loophole in your world. So is a child tax credit. Charity is a loophole according to you DUmmies.
Even when you had everything you wanted, you couldn't get your dream package passed by democrats. Why do you think it would be any different the second go around?
