Would you have sided with Rorshach (with or without being zotted by Dr. Manhattan) or would you haved help maintain the fiction?

If you haven't seen the movie this thread is the ultimate spoiler.

Rorschach.

Me too and mostly for historical reasons (since the story drew in so many real life personas and events).

Considering WW2 where the US and USSR were "allied" Berlin wasn't even done smoldering when the Cold War began. I can't see any reason why Ozy's scheme would prove a different result.

But even assuming it did work exactly as planned it would be as distasteful as gaining peace under the auspices of a false religion. Life isn't IF we live but HOW we live and I consider Truth higher than Peace (read: the absence of violence).

It's ironic (deliberately, I hope) that it was the "insane" character, the one presumed to be detached from reality, that proved the strongest advocate for not lying.

I would also have to say Rorschach. I'd also say that the movie had one of the best opening sequences that I have seen.

It was also one of the better translations of a comic book to a film.
“Don’t vote for the person who tells you you deserve something. Just don’t do it if it’s something other than life, liberty, or the pursuit of possible happiness. If everyone is telling you you deserve something, vote for the one who is promising you the least. Be suspicious of the man or woman who tell you deserve everything. Because you don’t.” ---Mike Rowe

If you've got a graphic novel to convert to film Zack Snyder is your guy. Zack Snyder also did 300 and Sucker Punch.

(I never forgave him for the ending to Sucker Punch but the visuals are undeniable.)

I liked 300 (the movie) but never read the comic version. I'm a big comic fan, but since getting married I haven't really bought any new ones. Though, I would still buy some back issues from time to time before the economy tanked.
