What if males were held libel for impregnating a woman against her will


 
and were given some drastic punishments?
My brain keeps thinking that if the blame and onus of an unwanted pregnancy were placed on the male, maybe there would be some mind changes.
And if every person calling for no termination of pregnancies were forced to pay a special premium for the upkeep of those unwanted births?

stated simply, I wish there were someway to make these people put their money where their mouths are.

As for the special premium, how about all you pro choicers pay a special tax to fund all these abortions that you love so dearly? You know put your money where your mouth is.

For DUmmies, there are not enough laws to do the same exact thing.

I read a book, "The Italians by Luigi Barzini" where he says in Italy they pass the same laws over and over because most people don't read the laws or forget they are on the books. I guess that also goes for the DUmmies here.

A woman has a choice to have sex or not in every case except rape, and I fully support harsh punishments for rapists.  if she consented to have sex, then she consented to an act that has a decent probability of resulting in pregnancy.  The fact that this is even under debate demonstrates how far our society has fallen.  Children should, in my opinion, be regarded as a gift, and if the biological parents don't believe that they are, there are thousands of couples who would happily adopt them.

I guess he's never heard of 18 - 21 years of child support, health insurance, half of uncovered medical expenses, half or more of college expenses, etc.  Take my word for it, I've seen men DRASTICALLY punished for getting a woman pregnant.  (even when it wasn't against her will.)

"held libel" ? I'm sure the primitive meant liable , but I can only assume the mistake is understandable. The one career all of DU seems to practice is armchair lawyer - As they are always looking to take property away from those with whom they disagree.

Hah!  I remember when the state of Delaware accidently mailed my friend the state insurance reciepts for his kids showing exactly how much the state was paying and what the parents were expected to pick up.  His wife had bee charging him half of the total cost of the complete bill every time, and he had the tax receipts to prove it.  When the judge found out he had those receipts the judge adjusted his child support for years to cover the extra amount of money he paid.  The judge then demended to know how he come to be in posession of those documents.  His ex is still busy cussing at him over that.
