Paintballing
« on: August 27, 2012, 07:18:12 AM »
I went paintballing this weekend for the first time. 6 hours out in the heat shooting people. IT WAS AWESOME!   :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

I highly suggest to anyone that likes guns and strategy to try this!

Just imagine 20 armed people on each side running at each other (Braveheart) shooting each other.  It was AMAZING!!!!   :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

Go look on Youtube for paintballing videos.  I am in love with this!

I have done it a few times and so has my daughter Sara. She loves it . She wants to do it on her 18th birthday which is in December. They have an indoor place to play but its the cost that might keep us from doing it with her and all her friends.

Have you ever heard of Living Social?  I get deals to do all this stuff through them.  You can sign up and get daily deals.  Most stuff is half to 75% off.  I got all day paintballing with all the gear, guns, and paint balls for $26.  Usually $52 per person.  I love them for realz!!!

I used to play competitively back in high school, it's a lot of fun  :cheersmate:  Haven't really touched a marker in 10 years though.

I think I am going to do this alot. It's the only exercise where I run around for 6 hours straight in the heat and don't feel like it's exercise. Sure I look like I had some really rough play  :naughty: but I feel great today! My back doesn't even hurt!

I saw the pics you posted on Facebook. Those were quite nasty-looking welts on your back(?) and the back of your calf.

Never done the sport myself, but I can appreciate the enthusiasm. None of that "Bang, bang, you're DEAD mother****er! I said, you're DEAD!" while pointing with your cap gun.  :rotf:

There is this rule that if you are within 10 feet of someone you tell them to surrender.  I was down in a ditch and I heard "Surrender!"  I said "Ok!".  Then he goes "SURRENDER!"  I said "Ok, Flucker surrender already".  He was telling me to surrender  :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

Don't expect that rule to be followed to closely...

A guy from your neck of the woods, who was good at basketball would be called a "Baller". What about a gal from your neck of the woods good at paintball ?
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

Just watch your face and head.  It's a ton of fun, but I've been beaned twice in the head and it hurt like hell.

I played some when I was younger.  :hammer:  I'm too old and busted up to do it now.

I got hit on the top of my head once and it felt like I was whacked with a hammer. It's a lot of fun but there are few places here that do it. The good thing is one is close to hear and it used to be a roller rink. They have indoor paintbaling and outdoor with inflatable obstacles and some wooden ones. Their used to be a painball field near the Bellevue bridge on the Iowa side but it either closed down because of a lack of business or the river flooding might have gotten to it a few years back.

I see plenty of female soldiers take a shot across the boob.

Never fun for them.

My wife never complains.

What a shame that us old timer women did not have this when we were young.

The hunter, killer instinct is strong in females that have a strong maternal instinct.  Far as I  know the only reason woman are at a disadvantage in War is they need to squat to pee.

As our Military debates putting women into combat, I have read they have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars trying to figure out a way to give to woman the ability to pee standing up as the men do.   Where does a female pee driving in a tank, out side a river boat or Helicopter ????

Paintball would have in my time perhaps lead to me joining the Army as I am one of the few color blind with green colors and can tell camouflage from the surrounding follage.
