Every time there was a tremor that could be felt in SoCal, the local news stations would all go to "EARTHQUAKE PANIC" mode, much like they'd do "STORM WATCH 2012!!!" if three drops of rain fell and send the station asshole out in it to do a remote from some shitty location.
Of great humor to me was a lot of the stations would have remotes with one of the USGS types out at CalTech, who the ex used to call "SeismoDyke." I still crack up on that one.
If Nads had any idea how many tsunami watches and 5+ earthquakes there are in the world each and every year, well...
