glad to see political pressure finally destroyed a private clubs right to choose their members
10 years after the whole Martha Burk protest crap. I wouldn't say they succumbed to political pressure. Most private clubs are struggling to survive in this economy. Augusta doesn't have that issue. They added female members on their own timetable.
Headline: Augusta National finally adds 19th and 20th holes
There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site
Just because it hasnt been front and center in the media doesnt mean there hasnt been continued pressure to accept female members. Which is why they chose a couple of conservative females to be the first 2.
If I was alowed to play on the LPGA Tour 40 years ago, I would be sitting on a pile of dough. Next, they will want to play a tour event there. Let them and put the tees back on the blues and there will be a lot of 80 and 90 scores.
Women's pro golf is a notch above the WNBA.
They have some lookers on the golf tour.
Yes, there are some pretty good looking women on the LesbianPGA.
There was no pressure. When that bitch Martha Burke came here her gaggle of nags was outnumbered 3-1 by the press and met with male AND female counter-protesters.
