I've seen what qualifies as "working your butt off", and in a lot (not all, but a lot) of cases, that's pure unadulterated bullshit.  I mean, keggers and date rape can put a hell of a dent in one's class schedule, maybe even to the point of needing that seventh year to finish up your BA in Comparative Navel Gazing, but out in the real world we're a bit more, ah, demanding when it comes to actual production, ya know?

Hey man, lighten up a bit. It's hard work going from government agency to government agency begging for money/free stuff....then busing across town to hit up all those churches and food banks....not to mention filling out applications for student loans/grants and credit cards....then you have to formulate your sob story for bankruptcy court....it's all hard work man.
