Military Absentee Ballots ...
« on: July 18, 2012, 11:47:21 AM »
I am sure we all remember how the Military Absentee Ballots were held up in 2008? Well, with this year, and a huge majority of Military personal not liking obama, I am wondering if they will do it again?

In all seriousness, it wouldn't surprise if the DemRats tried to keep them from being counted at all. Especially if they know for a fact that Barry will lose big time with them. Either that or they will screen them and only let the ones voting for obama get counted.

Ben there done that. In 2000 Gore sued FL to eliminate all overseas ballots because they didn't meet the postal date rules (APOs didn't date stamp mail).  Postal workers also stole outgoing military absentee ballots & voted them (I don't think they ever actually caught anybody either)

I loved how when I was in we were always told, "Your vote counts!"

Uh, yeah, not so much when I had to fight for months to get a ballot.

They don't like us...of course they're gonna hold them up and find ways to invalidate them.

Back in the early to mid 80's , we put in a request for an absentee ballot through one of the junior officers on the tender and they handled getting one for us.

Thats how they discovered the fraud in FL.  Some LT's dad went to the precinct to physically pick up a ballot for him.  Only to find out it had already been voted. I don't know how it turned out but, they suspected someone in the Post Office had done it.

That is ridiculous. My personal opinion, and I am sure some of you feel this way also, is that the Military should be first in line to vote, and then the rest of the country after them. If anyone has the most right to cast a vote, it is them.... And scamming them like they did in 2008 is a total lack of respect for the people who sacrifice their lives to defend this great country.

Well, they don't need to be first, but they damn sure deserve to have their votes counted.

And any plot to keep them from doing so is total shit.

It's a noble sentiment, but any state or federal department that instituted a policy like that would find themselves in court very quickly.  You know how the NAACP loves to throw around the term "poll tax" when the subject of voter ID comes up.  The "American" Civil Liberties Union would be right behind them with their lawyers.

Yeah I know, but my point is those who risk their lives for this country have earned their ballots. Yet our AG is more interested in protecting the voting rights of illegals.
