The US Navy?
« on: July 17, 2012, 04:00:13 PM »
http://www.democraticunderground.com/1002958596

I've seen several posts at DU concerning the incident in the Persian Gulf between the US Navy fuel ship and the fishing boat, and they've left me scratching my head. The DUmp monkeys have sort of insinuated that they Navy is at fault, but there's been no mention (that I've seen) of 0 doing it.

Let me see if I can recap...

1) The Navy offs some bad guy pirates = 0 did it. He's a bad ass.
2) The Navy (SEALs) offs bad guy Osama = 0 did it. He's a bad ass.
3) The Navy offs some fishermen (who may possibly be totally innocent) = the Navy did it.

Apparently 1 + 1 is still equaling POTATO at the DUmp.

Come on, you should know by now that anytime something good happens, Barry Big Ears is a Bad Ass. But when something goes wrong, it someone else's fault.

The buck never stops.......
“The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”

1. He said, she said
if the Navy did this right, they have all this recorded.
But in the end, a go away fee will be paid anyway.
And no, not defending this... but if the Navy did issue warnings, there is a chance the crew of the fishing boat did not get it... and the Cole is the reason for the trigger happiness.
Nads knows a lot about the Navy for someone whose only link to that Navy is a retired hubby.
This too shall pass.

Nads,  you worthless scrunt--you do realize it was a fishing boat that blew that nice little hole in the Cole, yes?

And that when presented with repeated warnings not to approach, deadly force IS authorized?

I'm pretty sure "training NCO for RangerGreenBeretSEAL Team 6" is somewhere in Nads extensive resume.

Somehow, it must be Bush's fault.

Watching the Navy's movements close, lots of things going on that are unusual.  Aircraft Carrier sent to sea 4 months ahead of time, means escort ships and subs as accompaniment, why now ?????

This close to election and now Obama is making a presence, almost a dare you to the M East.

If Obama would just leave the war to the experts allow the Pentagon to do what it does best, Protect us, but he meddles in everything, screws it all up, from States rights to some one a no one that kills what he calls could be his Son.   ???????   Was he on some kind of drug when he made that statement ????

Much unease about this nut case, this Little Boots of our time.   Along that line will Obama give his dog Bo a Cabinate post ?????

Lets remember one thing, the default opinion over at the DUmp is that the military = endless wars of empire and stealing the resources of our psudo colonies, you know, Haliburton and Blackwater.

Not to mention, they're all war criminals that should be frogmarched before the Haige and summarily hanged.

Anything beyond that is just political expediency.

Nah, she was much like me, a wife that had a husband and when he a became a drunken sailor told her shit that she also tipsy believed.  All no shites.

This is not normal life for us civilians.   Few wives listen to story's told by husbands that have just gone away under the sea for months at a time.  Kind of strange while the family lived on earth, their husbands and father lived under the ocean, blind as a bat and had hair raising tale to tell on surfacing.

Interesting life for both the men. wives and family's in the Sub Service.

After all these years when I see a man in uniform, so young they just began to shave and they wear Dolphins, darn but they are the bravest of the brave.

No astronaut who goes into space at the age of 30 or so will ever impress me as much as a 20 year old that goes into the depths of the ocean.

In my professional career, as I think we all have, had to deal with several of the type that takes others good work as their own and blames others for their failed work. These people always hurt the overall company and are either fired or Peter Principled. Sadly, we have one as the head of our country now.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

We have had a naval presence in the Middle East for several years now. Unless that was a big bathtub they told me was the Persian Gulf that we were floating around in. We even have "gasp" bases there.

US naval ships have been harassed in the Gulf and the Straits of Hormuz in 2007 that I can personally vouch for.
