George W. Bush helps renovate health center on Africa trip
DALLAS (AP) — Former President George W. Bush has been helping to renovate a women’s cancer screening center in Zambia during a weeklong trip to Africa.
Bush, clad in a T-shirt and jeans, painted and hauled lumber at the Ngungu Health Center in Kabwe, about 90 miles north of the Zambian capital, Lusaka. The center will start screening and treating women Tuesday for cervical cancer and pre-cancer.
The former president and his wife, Laura, are in Africa to promote a partnership between the George W. Bush Institute, the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, UNAIDS and Susan G. Komen for the Cure that aims to fight cervical and breast cancer in sub-Saharan Africa.
The George W. Bush Presidential Center says the Bushes arrived in Africa over the weekend.

1. I call bullshit. The "health center" is a cover up story for nefarious back room dealings.

He probably hauled 1 pc of wood for the photo op. Everything else was done for money in some way. He probably plans to get US subsidy money for his aids foundation or mother ****ing somehing like that.
This ****er don't do charity WORK of any kind.

Cause I do not believe that GW has it in him to do something out of kindness, love or goodness. There must be something in it for him. This is the same preztledent who helped block condoms from getting to Africa isn't he? In the name of Christianity he chose to help make aids worse (and I believe I read that aids cases did rise when they took away US aid that paid for condoms)
So Bono can praise him for what he sees on the surface, but my money is on GW's profit line.

Ohh it is a torture chamber, it his tormenting the hell out of you clowns.
Let's see what 0bama does for charity, and I mean real charity not some political group getting out the vote for dems, after he leaves office next year. The only time we will see 0bama in Africa is on the golf course.

Barring evidence to the contrary I am willing to consider this a good one. Bono is a good enough character witness on this issue to force me to keep an open mind. One thing George W. Bush was not and is not (compared to many Republican and Tea Party voters) is personally racist. His record was also relatively good on humanitarian issues in Africa.
Nowadays Republicans are singing the mantra that giving anyone assistance on virtually anything only makes folks dependent and lazy. W at least never fully signed on to that ideology.
No we are saying that getting people dependent on the government for their every need makes them lazy. Helping out folks that really need help is what we believe in. Most of us have no problem with some government aid to people truly need, however we expect people that can work to get off their butts and find work, even if it means doing a job they hate. I have worked a job that I hate with a passion for years, but I would rather have a bad day at work than a good day collecting money from the taxpayer.

When someone points a gun at me and says they want me to die the last thing I care about is what color they are. The only people so obsessed with color is you idiots. In fact I never refer to 0bama's skin color, unless it is in response to what you idiots claim.
Suck it DUmmies Bush has more class than any of you and your preezy could ever hope to have. Bush got in the car the day of the Ft Hood shooting and visited with the wounded with no press coverage, the only pictures were the ones taken by the families. 0bama on the other hand couldn't be bothered to leave the golf course. And when he finally found time to visit he went there for a photo op.
As bad as some of Bush's policies ended up being he has made up for it by having class. There is a reason the troops loved him and only tolerate 0bama, and it has little to do with politics it has to do with character.
