SoFlaJet (7,562 posts) So Exactly What DOES Happen When Cantor's Bill To Repeal Passeson July 11th? What happens to the health care bill then?
backscatter712 (15,435 posts) 11. Actually, the Senate doesn't.Last edited Sat Jun 30, 2012, 11:01 AM USA/ET - Edit history (1)The Senate will get presented with the bill, but the Senate leadership can do what they want afterwards - send the bill to a committee, send it to the floor for a vote, sit on it... Reid will see to it that the bill is quietly killed.
http://www.democraticunderground.com/125150913Same thing that happened last time, you goons will piss and moan, Harry Reid will trash the bill, and 0bamcare will still stand. However, The entire house will be on record whether they support 0bamcare, or don't. My guess is a lot of dems will vote present.Just like he did last time, and has done for every bill the GOP has sent him, even the last 2 budgets.
"The nation that couldn’t be conquered by foreign enemies has been conquered by its elected officials" odawg Free Republic in reference to the GOP Elites who are no difference than the Democrats
Just a slight correction, it's not just Obamacare anymore, it's the Obamacare Tax!
The Velveteen Ocelot (31,365 posts)4. Nothing. It's a symbolic gesture to stir up the teabag base.View profileIt will die a swift death in the Senate.
The Tea Party is already on board, but the word Tax is being added to Obamacare now, will it stir the Moderates up?
Freeper, I read that whole thread at DU and not 1 of them brought up Obamacare being called a tax, and Democrats have to vote either Yay or Nay on record on this bill with the word tax in it.
The Tea Party is pissed. Did you see them on the news last night? Wow.
Don't know about the news but, looked in the mirror & sure enough I'm pissed.Cantor is forcing the Dems onto the record. Campaign ads to follow.
they love taxes at DU, so it won't matter anyway, well unless they have to pay them then taxes aren't so groovy after all.
They're so oblivious then, do they really think Democrats in tight races want to vote for the largest tax increase in world history? or Democrats in general want to vote for the largest tax increase in history when Obama said he wouldn't taxes on the middle class? and vote for a tax that will effect the middle class more then any other group?
