Any of the GOP rats giving any props for the gas prices going down now under Obama?

I didn't think so...

They were so quick to blame him when the prices were going up...I thought maybe they would find it fair to give him credit for the prices going down.

I seem to recall fall of 2008 when gas prices came down significantly everyone that had been howling how high gas prices were chimpy's fault didn't give him credit when gas went from $4.00 down to $1.87. So why should we give 0bama credit for a 50 cent decrease in prices?

I will begin to be optimistic when it goes under $3/gallon.   Not holding my breath.

Even then I will ask the DUmmies what policy did 0bama implement to bring down prices?

Yes, we should give LOTS of credit to the guy that has consistently done everything possible to limit our supplies of oil and gasoline for the boom of private drilling that has eased the market somewhat.   ::) ::)

I'll give him credit for it...he's ****ed up the economy so bad that the demand for gasoline has decreased dramatically, hence, the price has fallen.

He's driven the price so high, demand has gone down. Then the price started falling.

Hmmm. Just like the DemocRATS gave President Bush the credit for gas under $3 bucks when Lord O took over.

It goes both way boys. I feel zero obligation to praise the inaction of O.

That's exactly it.

Too many are unemployed, and can't afford gasoline.

Hence, the old "supply and demand."

Demand is down, so to get rid of it, suppliers have to lower the price.

There's also the currency issue. With Europe in bad shape, the dollar has strengthened, thus lowering the price of oil, at least in dollars.

Yes, of course. If gas prices soar the preezy can't do a damn thing. However, if gas prices go down it is all from his magnificence Lord 0bama the destroyer?

When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Yep they want it both ways, when good things (or at least what they perceive as being good) the preezy gets the credit, when things go bad, it's still chimpy's fault.

Exactly, nothing can be the chosen one's fault. It is all still Bush's fault.

Actually, in this case, the increased drilling is all Bush's "fault."  Obama's policies have consistently killed drilling in government controlled areas.

  • Where are you going? I was gonna make espresso!
I'm happy as a ****ing clam if I can find it under $3.40/gallon.

I have a receipt from 1/20/09.  $1.819/gallon.  16.5 gallons, total cost $30.00.

Explain again how that's going down?

Increase in drilling I would gladly blame on Bush. But when it comes to praising Obama when the prices go down, and then turning around and saying that it is Bush's fault, or there is nothing a President can about gas prices when they rise; it makes me want to punch Obama in the face.

3-1/2 years of economic stagnation.  Lack of economic activity is the main reason for the current price decline, not anything positive.
