Foretaste: they are preparing to go full-blown communist
« on: June 05, 2012, 08:11:31 AM »
They tried this whole "democracy" thing but the problem with freedom is that people like you think you're free to make the wrong choice, i.e. not agree with liberals.

So, the solution is obvious: they will demand a monopoly on power. First, to define moral offenses then to assign just penance.

Capitalism is [a starving child]

Is it time for Maximum Wage

Capitalism - Good or bad ?

Expect it to build as we work our way towards Nov 6th. It will crescendo during Rmoney's transition period.

Sen. McCarthy left the job unfinished.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

Capitalism is [a starving child] ....to paraphrase Hitler, "If we say we're doing it for the children, we can get away with murder."

Is it time for Maximum Wage ...it quickly degenerates to a discussion of the MINIMUM wage and that's the only way a DUmmie ever gets a raise.

Capitalism - Good or bad ? ...dang! a couple of DUmmies or moles actually get it right.

Expect it to build as we work our way towards Nov 6th. It will crescendo during Rmoney's transition period.

Sen. McCarthy left the job unfinished. ...he brought a pencil to a gun fight.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

McCarthy went after the wrong people, for the wrong reason.

Why was he not investigating our elected leaders instead of Lucille Ball and other performers that just acted out the scripts they were given ????

Black lists for those that followed a different drummer,  Black lists for anyone that outside Government Approved thought and this went into the Churches when the Pastors may have stood up for the Bill of Rights.

Why was Roy Rogers given a pass when some of his 30 minute programs as seen on today Old Movie Channels so slanted towards socialism  ?

Look at what coalition_unwilling says:

Quote
There's no scientific proof that private ownership of the means of production produces better outcomes for the average person than public ownership of same. Again, see pre-Columbian Native Americans.
::)

It is gently pointed out to him that these were slave cultures who practiced human sacrifice, and were overrun.  Not exactly high society.  He then counterattacks by calling them racists.  (Cliff Notes version).

They come out of the woodwork then.  Starry Messenger's avatar is a hammer & sickle, COMMUNIST written underneath.  Here's White Wolf:

66. You know sometimes I wonder just how worse feudalism really was than capitalism?

I'm not saying we should go back to it, of course. But I am starting to wonder if our current form of capitalism, which I think is simply a natural stage in the evolution of the system, is really that much less exploitative than feudalism? At least in feudalism the serfs had certain guarantees of protection.

"Protection."  Right.

Someone named Mairead wants to:

Quote
3) Shift to economic democracy: disallow all forms of business except individual/immediate-family proprietorship, and cooperative corporation.

Get off the ****ing internet then, idiot.  You need to slop the pigs if you want bacon for breakfast tomorrow.

He goes on:

Quote
All the jobs dedicated to making the few richer would go away, freeing up an immense amount of time for more enjoyable work.

The cultural standards would go through the roof because of all the extra time available. People rarely notice it, but the wealthy elites almost never contribute to cultural richness. It's working people who play fiddle for dancing, repair the loved-to-pieces library books, paint the pictures, act in the plays and films, and sew the beautiful clothing. One of the things the anthros found is that most people in those original-flavor societies spend most of their time in cultural activities --music, dancing, conversation, and artistic craftwork. Time that we are forced to spend keeping the wealthy elites in idle luxury.

That's too much even for Skinner:

77. That sounds nice. But how would anything get made that is technologically advanced?

And by technologically advanced, I mean 19th-century-or-later technology. Anything requiring mass production or large-scale human cooperation.

I don't see how your society creates the computer you are posting on. Or the railroad that your great-great-great grandparents rode on (if they were among the lucky few who could afford such things). Or even the films that your working people would theoretically be acting in.

They go around and around.  He's very stubborn.  He wants all things to be made by hand in your garage.  By you, not him.

Isn't it amazing?

In our system the DUmbass is free to get with his peers and do exactly as he proposes (see: Amish). They may, at any time they are willing to work for it, live within the society they propose for themselves without hindrance and protected by the larger society as a whole.

Yet, in their system they would crush all dissenters who want anything different from what they want.

16. Start by doubling it over the next 2 - 3 years and then raise it to

an inflation adjusted $20 p/hr over the following 5. Regional adjustments would probably be a good idea as well.

20. With a price cap on essential goods and services.

What good is is tripling someone's income if their outgo rises even faster?

Making $20 an hour is no better than $7.30 if you STILL can't afford food, housing, and medical care.

I've seen that guy before.  He wanted a 75% tax on families making $75K or something.  Even the DUmbasses couldn't stomach that.

2. I think so. Beyond, say, 10 million a year, 100% tax.

We can compromise on the final limit.

3. No - it would open the door for even more ways for our corporate overlords to take our money.

There's still ways for them to screw us through stock options and things of that nature.

They continue to feed each other's wet daydreams of 99.9% tax rates and freeeeee money.

1. Wealthy people tend to donate vast sums of money to support art museums, cultural enhancement projects, etc.. My city's Philharmonic center's program guide is filled with the names of wealthy donors being thanked for their generous contributions.
2. How do uber- wealthy, uber- liberal Hollywood actors and recording artists fit into that DUmmy's statement?

How much are all those hollywood assholes that love to give your cause lip service worth again ?

Michael Moore ain't short a buck and he's poor in comparison to some of those dickbags.

How much is the fashion industry worth ?

Idle luxury eh. ****ing moron.

Lets all go back to organic basket weaving to supplement out subsistence lifestyles. We can even use those baskets to haul the cow shit back to the fireplace to keep the family warm over winter. Oh wait. Burning cowshit for heat is bad for mother nature and must be outlawed.

Yeah we need to go back to a simpler time....cast iron wash pot in the backyard, washboard hanging on the tree, outhouse a 100 yards away, bathtub same as the washtub, work a garden, can and dry food for winter, slop the hogs, feed the chickens, milk the cow, make butter....yeah all kinds of free time for the arts and culture back then.

Lazy DUmbasses would die but we'd have culture. :whatever:

Ah, yes. We must all yearn for a simpler time. Maybe the stone age. The religion of peacers have cornered the market on that, but maybe a niche can be carved out of the stone age somewhere.
