I refuse to swim in public pools. Just the thought of what people do in them makes me cringe. Not to mention, when you look at people who look like they haven't taken a shower in three weeks diving in; it makes you change your mind really fast.

I was in a college pool once that they said had a chemical it that turned red if you pissed in the pool...I didn't try to find out if it were true or not.

Back in the early 60's, a local company (mill) had an Olympic pool and diving tower built in their park. They were later forced by law to open it to all comers. A couple of years later they closed the park and dynamited the pool and tower. They couldn't keep the water in it at a safe level. (urine and feces floating in the pool)

I don't swim that much. But when I do, I do it in my own pool. ;)

I thought they put things in the public pools, and if someone urinates the water around that person turns a different color? do they have that? or did I see that in a movie?

:rofl: No, they don't normally put those in public pools.  The only thing they use is chlorine.

A couple large hotel pools in Vegas had to be closed and drained on very busy days and it was not a "baby ruth."
