So my 75 year old Dad got hit with a Rick Scott voter purge gimmick.

Last edited Thu May 31, 2012, 06:33 PM USA/ET - Edit history (1)

He received a letter in the mail indicating that he needed to verify where he lived by filling out the enclosed form and mailing it back to the election office.

He did move last year to a new apartment, but when he updated his drivers license at the DL office, he clearly asked them to reflect it on his voter ID.

Here's the thing.... this is what Rick and his goons are hoping for... they are hoping that my elderly father who is a registered Democrat, fails to complete and return the form thus making this Born in America, 75 year old Vet, ineligible to vote on election day.

America---ya gotta love it.

The nerve of them asking someone to verify their address.  :whatever:

It would break my heart if this old long time Democrat went to vote only to be turned away.

Then you can get off your lazy stoner ass and help him do it.

8. It's time to send EVERY registered Republican one of these "letters"

Someone should get a copy of the "official" letter and address one to every GOP voter. See how they feel about having their right to vote question.

If I get one, I will fill out the form, mail it in and not cry like a bitch.

Yes, because the DMV is magically connected to the Secretary of State and the Voter Registration board.  Those registration cards are just for pretend. :whatever:

At least his vote got counted. I had to do an absentee (military) ballot for the last two presidential elections. Guess how many of those got counted.

It's a crime that military votes are disregarded. If anyone deserves the right to vote it is those who serve.

If you were registered in FL, some nice (union) folks from the Post Office filled it out & mailed it for you.

Not to quibble but, during Bush v Gore, they actually stole ballots from the mails en route to overseas military & voted them.

The voter registration card here clearly states that YOU MUST FILL OUT ANOTHER CARD IF YOU CHANGE YOUR ADDRESS.

It's that simple, DUmmy.  I hope there are smarter people than you taking care of your father because you are hopeless.

Lame bouncies are fine but stick to form.

When's the last time a cop jumped out of the bushes? In this case, there was a prime opportunity to have a cop jump out of a mail box. That would have been worth a bong or two if executed properly.

He should've called the Board of Elections, we notified them everytime we moved, the DMV is for registering voters, their job isn't to keep track of the voter rolls.

What makes these bouncies especially pathetic is that I saw the FauxNews article that the DUmbshits are imitating, just this morning.

So tell me DUche bags:  How's that "Boycott Fox News" campaign working for ya?? :II:

I filled out a new card when I moved and when I lost my last registration card earlier this year.  I plan on filling out a new one next week when I hand over the keys for my apartment.

It's not the end of the world.  Unless your son is a DUmmy.

Aaaaw! The horror. Dumbasse's dad moves, gets his cable, util, etc changed to his new address and either forgets to change his voter registration or the DMV screws up. Me? I think it is a good thing because if he went to his new precinct, they wouldn't have him registered there and if he went to his old precinct, his vote could possibly be tossed.

So what is your problem dummy? WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM IDIOT? He wasn't told he could not vote. He was told to update his address so he could vote!!!

Now onto to the DMV. They are notorious for screwing up shit. You want these kind of people to run your health care? Morons.

Just as an aside here dummies. I went to the post office the other day. I've had a PO box since that particular post office opened back in 81. Anyway they put a little thing in my box that said I needed to provide x number of documents proving I lived where I live.  I read the thing, filled out the form, took it in and the PO guy at the counter checked it out. Looked at me and said "It's all correct! That's refreshing!!!" I said what? He told me that 95 percent of the people that fill out forms can't read the damned instructions! I've seen this at the DMV too. Chances are your dad didn't tell the DMV to change his voter registration address. How do I know that? Because he SPAWNED YOU!!! Fruit don't fall far from the tree.

Or your a liar. Pick your poison dummy. Are you a liar or is your dad a dumbass? It will be interesting to see your answer.

I have a hunch that if the DUmpmonkeys really looked into to, they would find that the the roles are equally divided between political spectrums.
DUmpmonkeys, listen, the "purge" as you wish to call it, meerly assures acurate registration.
It's a state-wide voter registration drive, sponsered by the state. It's free!!1!
It's there to make sure all the democratics are able to vote come 7 Nov.

Well, we have to make sure that those people "not quite all there", better known as democrats get out and vote a few times.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.
