Well, we are not far from that for some people in our country. They are still very strong, and frighteningly well-organized minorities, but this is the kind of world would love. A place where road work, military operations, including rescue, privatized to the point that you do not have the funds, it dies. It is a cold place, but ... unfortunately not much of an exaggeration.
Again, nads and her DUmmy buddies demonstrate they have absolutely no idea what conservatism is.

I guess we don't call them DUmmies for nothing.  What an abysmally stupid person.

13. Hoover Dam

I disagree. I think corporations could come together to make it happen and then recoup costs and profit by charging use fees for the water.

If the free market fails to produce something like the Hoover Dam, then it wasn't meant to be and the projects costs were more than the benefits.

Did you use the newest Cray that we have access to? :???:
It committed suicide when I even mentioned nads around it. The new one is on backorder but I am thinking about going old school and using an enigma decoder.

So I managed to hit one of the characters, but think about it, since this is your jump off-handedly, it sucks responsible.
I got that far and started to cry.  :bawl:

Ah there are times that writing is fun
So working on some fiction, and one of the societies I have them meet, the heroes that is, has everything, and I mean EVERYTHING privatized.

So I managed to shock one of the characters, but think about it, since this is your pull yourself by bootstraps, be responsible crap.

"What if you need an ambulance but there is no record of you having paid insurance?"

"You die."

Well, we are not that far from that for some folks in our country. They are still a very loud, and scarily well organized minority, but this is the kind of world they'd love. A place where road work, military operations, even rescue, are privatized to the point that you do not have the funds, you die. It is a cold place, but hey... sadly not that much of an exaggeration.

I went so far as to bring sixteen century private armies back, the Condotieri. We meet in the field, compare Tables of Organization, and decide who would win without firing a shot... I mean high intensity warfare, somebody might lose equipment (lives who cares), and that gets expensive. This is why Blackwater is in the business, we are not fighting high intensity wars.

But exploring the concept of a full libertarian paradise with a weak central government can be fun... as fiction.

Does vesta have a mole ?
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

That's the problem.

Half of the moonbats on DU go to those Sci-fi shin-digs, dressed up in character, and understand the alien language.

I don't.

Klingon is easy. It's Gorn that's a mofo to read.

Thank God, I'm a bogger eatin' mechanic.

Somewhere, an editor is weeping.

Speaking of an editor, the nutcase hasn't mentioned "my editor" in a while.

I wonder if moonbat Miriam shitcanned nadin from her unpaid reporterette gig.
