Yeah, all baseball players put forth effort based on politics. The Giants won the World Series completely as a stand in favor of gay marriage, for example.

This is really sad. What is sadder is that no DUmmy is beating him over the head for this.

BTW..it is NOW official. 6 game losing streak. YUK. The Braves Suck when Chipper is not in the lineup..and he just went on the 15 day DL, and he isn't going to be around next year. they need to get it together...

I would love to see the Bucs over .500. They were for a short time last year. Then ended up finishing the season in the low .400's. They haven't had a winning season in 20 years. There is a joke here in Pittsburgh that says true Pirates fans don't root for the team to win, they root for them to lose.  :rofl:

Well, you do get better draft picks with losing . . . but draft picks don't necessarily have the same effect that they do in basketball, or even football.  That being said, the Mets #1 pick from two years ago (Matt Harvey) might see the bigs this year.  It all depends on how well Chris Young is coming along, after his TJ surgery.

Draft picks mean nothing here. The franchise never wants to pay the players. We have had some really good players that they let go because they didn't want to pay them. They never signed a long term contract with anyone, which is why it was out of the ordinary when they signed McCutchen to a long term this season.
