Thank you two for your replies. I guess this won't be a hot thread. At least we have 2 fine discerning individuals who know an exciting and interesting topic when they see one. Or perhaps they were compassionate and not let the OP and his thread die a lonely death.

Friendly invites to family dinners might fall off a little but other than that, go for it.

It takes a special and selfish mindset for someone to seek the presidency. You give up all of your privacy; you are, for all practical purposes, a prisoner within the mosque painted white; and you open up your entire family to unbelievable scrutinizing about their present and past lives.

That description fits the current denizen of the white mosque quite well. He'd be a catastrophe in any job anywhere.

Really?  That may be true most of the time, but I would say that the Obama's past lives are a closed book except for the things that benefit them.
