Truth To Power. DU hides post to make selves feel better.
« on: May 08, 2012, 10:41:42 AM »
Now, as a forum Moderator on another site I had to deal with assholes posting asshole stuff all the time. I usually let the asshole's post stand, and browbeat said asshole with a 2x4. Sometimes we had to deleat a particularly vile post. BUT- what DU has done with the new jury system is HIDE post they feel are bad, so people can not see them... UNLESS the click view.
The point of this?

Make themselves feel good about taking a stand... sort of...

To stop drone killings, US should be boycotted [View all]
Sherwood Ross, Miami-based award-winning reporter of American Radio News, suggests ways to force the United States into stopping its "atrocious" drone assassinations in other countries namely Pakistan and Yemen.

In his interview with Press TV's U.S. Desk on Monday, he said it is doubtful that the international law to stand up to the aggression of the United States. So, he said, what is required is a popular movement in all countries even to boycott American products. There must be non-violent techniques used to stop this atrocious international killing, he said.

The United States was identified in June 2010 as the world's No. 1 user of targeted killings -- largely as a result of its dependence on unmanned drone attacks in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The U.S. drone strikes have killed as many as 2,800 civilians in north-western Pakistan over the past seven years, according to Shahzad Akbar, Pakistani attorney and director of the Foundation for Fundamental Rights -- an organization that has investigated the U.S. drone operations in Pakistan.

Are the estimated deaths of 2,800 civilians and the label of #1 user of targeted killings something praiseworthy?

Seems like this post should be right up the DUmpmonkiez asses. Why was it hidden?

1. Terrorists.

That wake every day thinking of ways to kill innocent people should be boycotted. Until people calling for a boycott of the US for killing those bastards start putting the burden on those killers, I will continue to support drone strikes against them because I know that our soldiers, officers and CIA don't wake each and every day with the desire to kill innocent people if not stopped.

But, they are only fighting for their freedom from Amerikkkan Terror!?!

My "Spidey Sense" tells me that thread would be 180 degrees different if a republican instead of a Obama the dog eater were president.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

That's weird, I would've guessed bluestate10's post would've been the one hidden, not Northerner's, from what you clipped there.

Maybe.. just maybe.. if we quit killing women and children.. the Terrosist wouldnt hate us?

Maybe, just maybe, if we stopped bombing Tokyo the Japs would stop hating us enough to attack Pearl Harbor.

Maybe, just maybe, if we hadn't surrounded Cornwallis there never would have been a confrontation at Concord Bridge.

Maybe, just maybe, if the drechen Juden would end their uprising in Warsaw there would be no need to put them in camps for their own safety.
