Federal agents have arrested five people who were plotting to blow up a bridge in Cleveland, Ohio, an incident not connected to the anniversary of former al-Qaida chief Osama bin Laden's death, officials say.

The five were nabbed in what amounted to an FBI sting, and agents had them under extensive surveillance for a long period of time.

"There was never any danger," one federal official said.

Federal officials say three of the five men charged with plotting to blow up the bridge describe themselves as anarchists who considered a series of evolving plots over several months.

I agree with the DUmmies. It was an FBI set-up. Everyone knows that DUmmies "plan" things, they don't actually ever "do" anything.

12. Bullshit plot.

I'm familiar with that bridge. I almost bought a couple of houses below it about 30 years ago. It's a BIG ****ing bridge.

And it would take trained demolition professionals and a lot of explosives to do any real damage to it.

Cardboard boxes??

It takes a surprisingly small amount of high explosive to destroy a bridge, even less to put it out of service for a very extended period (For non-wartime civilian traffic traffic purposes) without actually dropping it, if you know what you're doing.  Of course I would've preferred to have seen all five assholes picked off the bridge by snipers while trying to emplace their fake explosives, but one settles for what one can get.
