I have to disagree.

The habitat for Humanity requirements are such that the people that have received them, around here anyway, have not only maintained their homes but have done the things necessary to improve their lot in life. Such as returned to school, gotten better employable skills through further education etc.

The habitat homes built around here have revitalized the parts of the community they have been built in.

Not around here...........Good for you for living in Utopia.

If affirmative action can be used to raise you to a higher position, couldn't it also be used to lower you to a lower position?
If you use the proper libspeak, yes.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

F--- ....that's F trippple minus if you didn't notice the -'s

I was thinkin' Z-!

Habitat is a feel-good waste. The only purpose it serves is as a deductible donation.

Like other moonbat feel-good programs, it tries to give something to deadbeats.

Deadbeats invariably accept, suck out some short term comfort, destroy, and move on.

Has anyone ever done a survey of Habitat houses five years after completion?

After five years of zero maintenance and zero homeowner responsiblity they're no better than the hovels they replaced.

You forget it also furnishes that idiot Carter with some sort of legacy. They only other thing he's ever accomplished is propping up tyrants by "certifying" their illegal elections.

Not around here...........Good for you for living in Utopia.

Not Utopia, just a community that so far has had considerable growth in the last two decades and have been able to maintain that small town feel and appeal by setting standards and enforcing them.

You don't want to mow your grass the city will but it'll cost you $200 , don't want to repair that fence the city will get someone to repair it for XXX amt, about three times what it should cost.

Some say builders own the town because there always seems to be someone in construction or related to construction on the school board and/or city council and associated commissions. Others say if that's the case we need more of them on boards and councils etc.
It is said that branches draw their life from the vine. Each is separate yet all are one as they share one life giving stem . The Bible tells us we are called to a similar union in life, our lives with the life of God. We are incorporated into him; made sharers in his life. Apart from this union we can do nothing.

There is a town south of me that could use the same extremes. It is a real shit hole.

I think it's going to come down to a flip of a coin whether Obama or Carter is the worst President ever. Barrack still has time though.

Obama has Carter beat cold for worst POS POTUS. The debt accumulated under Obama vs Carter is reason enough. Obama is working on doing just as bad of a disaster of Muslim foreign policy as Carter. Carter tossed Iran to the Muslim terrorists, and so far the Kenyan has tossed Egypt and Libya to the Muslim terrorists. Obama will win this category outright the day Iran has a functional nuke weapon.
