Quote
Daisy Rockwell’s grandfather, Norman Rockwell, created some of the most iconic illustrations of American life.

Her uncle is a celebrated sculptor.

Her father built a giant pyramid – inspired by Hindu temples – lined with thousands of plastic action figures.

And she paints terrorists.

One of the comments was spot-on:

Paraphrased:

"If Norman wasn't your grandfather, none of this would be news."

Another comment:

"I don't see a lot of talent here."

Basically, what we have here is another fruitloop moonbat freako fixed on bashing America. She said, paraphrased, that global warming was going to destroy the earth and that arguing over birth control was a moot point.  :whatever:

Honey, your grandfather had more talent in his little finger than you have in your entire body. His love of country and refusal to dwell on the negativity that surrounds you moonbats was an inspiration to 2-3 generations of Americans.

In a word, Daisy, GFY. Your "art" isn't.

Is this some kind of Beauty and the Beast thing ???

Sure we can see the kind spot in all people, good or bad.  Life Mag. in the late 1940's showed Hitler and his beloved dog.   Caligula loved his horse,  most monsters love something, usually something that is loyal to the death for them.

Saint Franchise's was a monster until he found God, today the patron Saint of animals, yesterday a man that delighted in torturing them------or so the story goes.

I feel it better for this artest to paint what ever humanity she can find in a monster then if she were to paint the monster in our well beloved Hero's.

Her grandfather painted ideal pictures of life, the things that we want to see and live by.  Seldom was this reality in our lives but we had hope that someday it would become so.

The Granddaughter paints pictures of monsters that we must live with and pray they have some humanity with in them.

Weird, sort of like a man that beats his kids half to death but will defend them with his life.  We try to find humanity in the worse sort and there is all ways a spark of it in the worse of the worse.

Interesting concept she brings about, no one is pure evil or pure good, for me I am trying to see the good in the Muslims, there is much to see, but the evil over rides the good and both sides must be shown.

Like that monster Sanduskey, both good and evil, he loves his dog, and has done much good for kids.  It was the Evil that over shadowed the good that did him in.  The good he did is now forgotten, all we think about is what a Monster he was and is.

There are 10 sides to every person, good and bad, this is why parents, coworkers, friends, will get up in court to bring another side to a criminal sentencing to show-----No one is all bad.

Concepts of life are the job of an artist, she is showing something we NEVER think about, there is no such thing as a bad seed total evil in man kind.

One of Norman Rockwell's works of art was a painting of a young by sitting on a stool at a cafe counter, next to a Policeman. I remember that almost exact situation happening to me when I was approximately that boy's depicted age. In my mind Rockwell showed the beauty behind the snippets of everyday Americana. Not ideal pictures.

Me too. Well almost.  I was underage and sitting at the bar drinking a beer when a cop in uniform sat down next to me.  Fortunately, he was only there to warn the owner that a silent burglar alarm had went off at the store across the street.

Nevertheless, another slice of Americana. Good story too.

Daisy, don't give up your day job.
“The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”
