Don't speak of what you don't know.

Las Vegas does not have luxury apartments on every corner.  Rents ARE increasing here.  Mostly because so many people lost their homes, their credit took a crap and they can't get a new house, so they HAVE to rent.  The banks aren't going to give someone who just got foreclosed on another loan.

Yep, right here. I can thank my ex for deciding he didn't want to apy the mortgage anymore before I was employed again. Still irritates the bejesus out of me.

I know exactly where you are talking about, my ex-FIL lives right around the corner from Boomers off Magnolia.  Here in San Diego, you will be lucky to find a 1 BR rental under $1,200, unless you want to live in the barrio.

That wasn't a bad place to start, but after a while it just bugs the shit out of ya...the noise was the worst, because we were on the second floor of our building with no sort of sound barrier and our sliding doors from the living room and back bedroom faced Magnolia.

And I thought that the house was quiet and peaceful compared to that.  But then I moved here.  The loudest it ever gets here is in the summer when the bikers go up and down the hill, but they rarely go past 8 PM.
