Mr. Carmichael cannot maintain this elected seat then without resigning from this position. Note this position pays $11K per year, that would affect Mr. Dawes disability claims present and future.
He better rethink this then.
Carmichael might be retired, I dunno. I didn't check that far.
I usually go to the
Omaha World-Herald, a major newspaper, for information about Bellevue, a suburb of Omaha. Bellevue has its own newspaper, but I haven't checked it out yet. Probably there's a story why there's two Republicans running, but I just haven't checked. As mentioned, I was waiting for my fellow Nebraskan to make the first move. He seems to be stuck in "stall," and so I only just now started.
This reminds me very much of something that happened on Skins's island circa seven years ago, when Beth kept announcing, for days and weeks, that a scam was impending, before she finally got around to launching it. Which of course struck one as ludicrous; if someone was in dire need of immediate medical help, a fund-raiser would've been launched right away without the long drawn-out preliminaries.
So we got the same thing going on here, Chief Sobbing Bull omitting to remember that in politics, the "right time" is usually "right now."
