nadinbrzezinski Ok I gotta askwe get all bent out of shape over the burning of a flag, but none got annoyed, even a smidgen... when flags were taken away from Vets (for having flag poles that were too thick)... or worst... When flags were thrown and stepped on by police... Or when flags were thrown away as if they were trash.... I guess if protesters do what is protected speech we get bent out of shape... but if cops do those things (which are just as bad)... it is ok since they are doing this in the line of duty? Oh wait... we have no AP photograph of many of these instances, just fuzzy occupier film... Well then, that settles it. I also notice that yes, it is the same folks who have been going on and on and on over how OWS should do this or that. Well, seriously, get off that couch and go to your local occupy and get involved. I am serious. They WANT to hear from you too. Now as to what is a flag... it is a piece of cloth. And American flags, well they used to be made in the good ol' US of A by American labor, but starting on or after 9.11 production moved to both Brazil and China... and last time I checked... they are STILL mostly made OUTSIDE the US... that should be far more of a concern than yes... torching one. Oh and the old argument but it will turn the people... yes it will turn the same people who would in other periods of US History. But it is hilarious in some ways to hear the arguments... why? Well, it is PROTECTED SPEECH. I may not like it, but guess what? IT IS PROTECTED SPEECH... And next week there will be a new outrage, like clockwork. But if you are so outraged about some of our lovely black block doing this after being kettled by the cops... how about being outraged about cops doing those things I described? Oh and remember, come the Fourth, not eating out of flag printed plates, or glasses, ok. It is against the flag code. We would not want to catch you doing that... or it might end up on the you tube... And yes, I might have my issues, but I will not make this a supreme court case. It already has... and it was found to be protected speech under the first amendment. Guess what? Last time I checked that flag stands for that Amendment. Weird, I know.
cherokeeprogressive1. Why the caps? "IT IS PROTECTED SPEECH". Protected from what? Certainly not my callingflag burners pieces of shit. Want my support for your issue? Don't burn the flag in your effort to get noticed. This Veteran doesn't like it. Now, go ahead and lecture about what is free speech, what is "protected" speech, and what not. Me? I'll continue to call flag-burners pieces of shit. After all, it's my right to do so. Your rights do not dictate how I can feel about the way you exercise them. Or what I can say about it. That's the crux of the issue right there. You think your right trumps my right. You and all the other essay writers on the subject of flag burning think it does, and that's why you write what you do. It doesn't. And, I don't need to read elite publications to know that.
nadinbrzezinski4. Take it with the United States Supreme Courthttp://law2.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/ftrials/conlaw/flagburning.htm http://civilliberty.about.com/od/freespeech/p/flagburning.htm They have found consistently that this is protected speech. So if you disagree, as they say... make it a federal case.
cherokeeprogressive11. I'll say it slowly, so you understand...It's. Not. Protected. From. My. Criticism. Take THAT up with the Supreme Court. Your right trumps mine not in the least.
Obamanaut68. The last time *I* checked, about 6 minutes ago, there are several makers of US flags in the US. Itlooks from this google search of 'US flag makers' (the page came back with this note *1-10 of 93,000,000 results*) and the ones on the first page, the only page I checked, are in the US. Because of laziness, I did not check the remaining millions of links. One of them regularly is prominently displayed in Wal Mart during the special holiday flag-type events. I check the labels myself. But I doubt anyone here will admit to seeing such a display there, because so few here go in WM. Or admit to it.

I have to give it to Nada, she never gets tired of being wrong, being whipped with the facts, and then comes back for more. Ovver, and over, and over, and over,...
I want to give Nadin hot sex....well....sort of....I figured I would soak her pubic bush with napalm and light it...then watch her beat the flames out.

Gee, I wonder what her husband would think about burning the flag?
There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site
He trails after her at the occupooper shows, snapping away with The Good Rig.He's a nutcase like her.I think on his last cruise, the sub had a faulty O2 sensor, and after three months submerged he suffered brain damage.
