Republicans Are Afraid Of MSNBC
Here's an interesting statistic that isn't getting much attention. Of the 16 debates held thus far, the three major cable news networks (Fox, CNN, and MSNBC) carried eleven of them. Of those, the breakdown is five on Fox News, five on CNN, and only one on MSNBC.

What makes this interesting is that the single MSNBC debate drew more total viewers than four out of the five CNN debates. It beat all of the CNN debates in the key 25-54 year old demographic. In fact, in that demo, MSNBC beat every cable news debate except for one (Fox 12/15), despite its broadcast date back in September, before the campaign had begun in earnest.
With that kind of ratings performance you might think that the Republican Party would be anxious to get their candidates in front of such a large audience of engaged voters. You would be wrong. Republicans are not rushing to put their candidates on MSNBC and there can be only one reason. They are scared.

1. I disagree...
Republicans are afraid of the truth, and the media outlets they favor are bought-and-paid-for by the same masters as the Republicans themselves.
MSNBC distinguishes itself not by being a counter to Fox, or even a "liberal" network, but by having a few hours of truthiness on weeknight evenings.

3. And part of the reason for MSNBC's success is that it's an alternative to the stenographers of propaganda on Fox & CNN.

2. MSNBC is a threat to Republicans. FOX is not a threat do Democrats.
The main difference is who watches. The entire FOX audience consists of people who want to hear whatever they want to hear and nothing else (Republicans), well with the exception of the few left-wing people who monitor it so the rest of us don't have to. FOX won't change anyone's opinion, only reinforce the one they already have. MSBNC has a much wider demographic and actually CAN change people's opinions. CNN is just, well, CNN. Same shit, different day.

I'm assuming "Ed" is that Schultz guy, and "Rachael"'s the mad cow, but who is "Al"?

It's one thing to spout campaign slogans, quite another to explain your insane reasoning.

I dunno.
I recall a headline on Drudge saying that the media has been asking Republican presidential candidates hard questions while asking the Magic One easy questions.
Too bad I didn't bother saving the link, but the article was pretty good.

7. I'd guess that's why Rachel has such a hard time getting Repubs on her show
They're afraid of what she'll ask them but worse yet, their afraid of the follow-up questions. She doesn't let people get away with non-answers... even Dems.
