Obama really hit a homerun with this one.  Openly embracing eliminating government jobs is antithesis to the Democratic party, and cutting $3billion over ten years reduces the debt by 2 1/2 hours of ONE days debt.  Don't expect conservatives to give a flying fig over that laughable reduction.  You screwed the pooch on this one Barry.

Before I read it, let me guess. We're going to reduce government by hiring more government emplyees. You know, that borrowing more money to spend our way out of debt worked so well, that might just work.

The only reductions hes doing is in the Military. Just what are all those vets going to do when they are no longer allowed to serve? between 80,000 to 100,000+ troops are looking at getting job lossed and its pathetic that you DUmpmonkies think that's OK during a time of war.

Add in civilian support services, manufacturing, etc and the number could balloon to 500,000 jobs.

Behind every man with a rifle are 10 people who feed/house/clothe/equip/train/nurse/pay him.

Close.  It involves only about a thousand slots, and losses from the current work force would be by attrition only, nobody actually losing a job.  Of course HHS and EPA have ballooned under Obama's watch, as well as adding whole new agencies like the Consumer Protection whatever-it-is for which he illegally appointed an acting director, so it's all just a big three-card Monte game.

Bingo--same thing Clinton did in the 90's.  Reduce the size of government, but virtually all of those "reduced" were AD military.
