So Far Here...we are doing Okay. Surely the Administrators of DU-3
can understand the NEED to keep this site going?
Surely they see, how well behaved and intellectual we here posting on the Old DU-2 are? Surely they see the potential of Monitarizing Both Sites?
Surely they see "Financial Potential?" Unless the "Financial Model" just shows ..that..There's NO WAY?
Anyone else wonder if the Admins couldn't make a go out of TWO SITES? "Different Strokes for Different Folks" having their views and voices out there?
I still hope the Admins will see the value there. I still hope.
OCCUPY DU-2!!!
EDITED for TYPO's...some might still be there...
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=439x2468454That's beautiful, DUmpmonkey! You're so intellectual!
Your post is filled with random capitalization and poor punctuation, and you top it off by tossing an apostrophe into a plural.
It's especially hilarious that your semi-literacy is the product of an edited post.
The editing must have been done by rsmithnumbers.
And the funniest thing is you believe Skimmer and his flunkies care what you think.

6. did you count?
I spent many hours here commenting not worrying about being censored.... thought never crossed my mind... till DU3.
just fine here. Sure they have the money anyway... I'm sure the site visitors counter still counts visits to DU no matter if it's here or there. So if they cut off DU2, they'd have a fairly big slide in visitors... ie members speaking of typo's this happens closer to 2am. I better get some shut eye
With that, another kitten suffers an excruciating death.

8. Let us not kid ourselves.
Forgive me if I keep making the analogy of radio station sales and/or format changes, but I have survived a good few of 'em--and I think it fits well with DU2 vs DU3.
.....blah, blah, blah, pontificating blah....
It is for these reasons that I don't think we need to expect even a crumb from the admins--though NOBODY would be more pleased than I if DU2 were allowed to remain!
But I think it behooves us all to clean out our desks and be ready for the Great Flush at any moment.
The most appropriate analogy for the DUmp, ever.

9. 5. Positioning
(also known as market identity)
Keeping DUs 2 and 3 around with the same name and URL would confuse those who were not previously familiar with the brand.
I guess this isn't different than your point #2, but it's as if Coca-Cola had kept New Coke, brought back old Coke, and called them both Coke.
(It's too bad ... all of this. DU was a great site. I tried DU3, saw the jury cluster****, and was astonished at the stupidity and downright weirdness. DU must have been on its last legs financially, and this was a desperate, panicked attempt to fix it.)
But this DUmmy thought nothing of the stupidity and weirdness of the original DUmp?
