I saw that place recently. They seem to be quite obsessed with us. And predictably a good % of their comments reek of sociopathy.

No need, no need at all, to feel badly about it.

Better that two catch such a thing, than no one catch such a thing.

"Shout-outs" like these have a short shelf-life on Skins's island.

So one should grab them as one sees them, and not worry about "duplicate" threads here.

I agree. I good percentage does reek of sociopathy, and if you'll look closely you'll notice that the percentage that reeks of sociopthy is generally direct quotes from DU.

For new members and lurkers: I am a fictional spirit-guide with no smell whatsoever. I am part irish setter and part pigeon. If you don't smell any strange smells it means I'm probably standing next to you. As I am a fictional character anything I post should possibly be considered fictional.

I'm sure there are some lurking primitives reading this thread, anxiously trying to glean any information that would be helpful in initiating a successful shout-out that will last longer than their attention span.

Typically, when is the best time to post and get a good long-lasting shout-out?

Between the hours of 1am and noon on Saturday morning (Friday night).  The mods are usually high or already passed out and don't make it back to their computers until afternoon.  That's when the best ones show up.

DU3 is supposed to end all CC shout-outs forever. That is the sole reason it was created.

We are THAT important.

Jus' sayin'.

Are they walking upright yet?
Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

I'd bet that their tracking/detection software is greatly improved.

Probably.

But the more complicated, the more "sophisticated," something's made, the more loopholes it creates.

We'll adjust.  No doubt.

I suspect they are indeed tightening up their intrusion detection.   Not all cookies belong to Cookie Monster. :o

I can't help thinking about the folk who sheltered Jews in Nazi Germany.  You can get away for a bit, but in any police state eventually the police will win.

ETA:

I noted both you and Vesta were on the short list in that thread. :thatsright:

As far as I can tell, DU3 will give us more data than ever.
