I am a Proud Democrat... Here's Why   Updated at 6:53 PM

There is a striking difference between being a member of one of the two main American political parties.

Besides the fact that most of the republicans who are in office are only working to win the next election instead of taking care of the country, there is another, deeper, more basic foundational difference.

Remember that republican saying from about 2002?

The saying: "You are either with us or against us".
Remember that?

It wasn't just a political statement, it was an edict from the republicans that "You better watch what you say and who you say it to."

That is the way of the republican party: "Fall in behind and do as we say, or else."

The party I align with, the party that I am most comfortable being a member of, is the Democratic party. I am proud to be a democrat. Democrats would never tell us you are either are with us or against us. If they did they'd be run out of town on a rail.

The leaders of my party know better than to tell we members that we better watch what we say.

We are free to be for the good and against the bad that our leaders produce.

We Democrats speak up and do not toe the masters' line like the 'good' republicans do.

No, we Democrats would never be in lockstep like the republicans are, and it makes us a bit un-jointed. My fellow members wouldn't have it any other way. That is another reason why I am proud to be a Democrat.

"I am proud to be a Democrat, where at least I know I'm free!"

What a crock of shit. Where to begin?  :whatever:

He is a proud demonrat, and here's why.

He's a brainless DUmbass.

Liberals are like Slinkys.  Basically useless, but they do bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs...

What about the "if you don't love everything Lord Obama does, you are a racist" meme?

Of course, by now, not many DUmmies have much love for 0 but few will admit it.

All feelings and no results, typical self congratulating Liberal. No surprise there.

BTW, When GW said that it was in reference to other countries, not citizens.

Another thing donks appear to be particularly proud of is revising history and or just making it up.  I call that LYING and regressives are proud of their leaders that are very good at it (i.e. Billy Jeff and Barry).
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

I've known many real Democrats in my life.
Most of them are descent folks.
Freebe, you aren't one of them.
Your a socialist.
Stop insulting the real Democrats.
They don't appreciate you trying to horn in.
Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

LOL Coming from a web site known far and wide for its rigid intolerance, that's rich. Look at what's happening to the few unfortunate souls over there who have the temerity to questions OWS tactics. Not their philosophy or goals, but merely their tactics.

"This board is infested with trolls."

"Why do you hate OWS?"

"You're trying to throw a wet blanket over the movement."

"How much are you getting paid?"

"Why are you even here?"

...to quote just a few.

At least among conservatives I can speak my mind without my loyalty to conservative causes being questioned. I can argue with people without ill will. I might get piled on verbally but no one is going to excommunicate me because I didn't march in rigid lockstep. Stuff like that is from the leftist Playbook - shut 'em up, shout 'em down and run 'em off.

That's going to be difficult for him to do seeing as how his Congress critters have been using OWS as a fundraising tool for months.  "The GOP wants to kill free speech in America!  Your donation can save the union!"  You know, the usual stuff they trot out every four years like clockwork.

Maybe I've become too jaded, but I doubt it will make any difference.  The press will pretend that none of this ever happened.  The only way this sort of thing gets air time is via political ads.
