Protection costs for Walker, Kleefisch more than double
Source: Journal Sentinel
The costs of the governor's security detail totaled $611,400 over the 10 months from Walker's election in November 2010 to the end of August of this year, according to documents released to the Journal Sentinel under the state's open records law. That was more than twice as much as the $259,900 that it cost to protect then Democratic Gov. Jim Doyle over the comparable 10-month period from November 2009 to August 2010.
David Erwin, a captain in the State Patrol and the head of the unit that protects the governor, said the threats against Walker have reached a new level. State officials declined to discuss those threats or the governor's security in any detail because they said it might put him at risk.
"Any threats targeting the governor, his family and the lieutenant governor are not comparable to past administrations. Because of the increased threat level, for the first time we need to provide security at this level for the (lieutenant governor) and the governor's family," said a statement by Erwin, who also led the unit when Doyle was governor.
Neither the National Governors Association nor the National Governors Security Association keep statistics on the costs of protecting governors around the country.

Walker has cost the state of Wisconsin more to operate with less jobs. He is a huge drain on the tax payers.

2. Well, then we'll just have to cut HIS job to save the
state some money, WE CAN'T AFFORD IT. (That's all I ever hear from him and his congress)

8. Snotty Walker's Protection....
There is mostly a state trooper (Department head of Wisconsin troopers is the majority state assembly leader and senate majority's father) across the street from his home(520 North 68th street)...I don't have a hard time accepting protection for highly elected officials...Look what happened to Milwaukee mayor Barret when he had to no protection.
I disdain Walker, who by the way has 4 "Recall Walker" yard signs on his block.
Protection for Officials I do not mind...But apart from that, we will recall that ass_hole

10. He's terrified of the "mobs" that have grown to hate him.
In reality the "mob" are a good majority of his constituents, or at least I hope it's a majority.

11. Consistent with the importance of existential fear to conservatives
Especially those who sense the danger of being an open puppet for the Kochs.
Liberals despise freedom because freedom implies the ability to tell the gimme-mafia to go **** themselves.
So when you exercise your freedom they get violent.
Now they want to use the costs associated for defending the duly-elected governor of a free people as an excuse to abrogate that freedom.
Oddly, I can't see them complaining that if a bunch of white supremacists--the moral equivalent of liberals, just different cause--wanted to kill Obama I can't see the shitbags complaining about the cost to protect the POTUS and arrest his antagonists.
