I'm starting to wonder if I was wrong.

Honestly, I expected that if one or more of the women Cain harassed turned out to be white, the far right would slip back under their rocks and leave him twisting in the wind. Granted it's early, but they seem so far to have doubled down on defending him. Unless someone comes out with hard evidence, like an audio tape of Cain admitting to it, the right seems to be locked in on Cain as "their man."

I don't think I've ever been so glad to be wrong, though. This is turning into a boost for him among the crazy right, while tainting him for the rest of the public. And now Cain, even more than Perry or Palin, has the potential to implode spectacularly going into the 2012 election.

Hey dumbass if there was actual evidence like what you cited, we would not support him, it has nothing to do with anyone's skin color. They are so desperate to try to pin the racist label on us, they will try anything.

1. I thought the same thing. Wait for it though because the right will most

likely dump him without admitting the real reason even to themselves. They would not admit to being racist.

Yes they really are claiming that if the allegations are true, that the reason we bail on him will be racism.  :banghead:

2. You need to understand that the right wing does NOT look at

these issues the same way the left does.

The right is perfectly comfortable with a double standard of morality. What they SAY is one thing, but when it comes down to it, they believe that their leaders are entitled to certain benefits, if you will, that are out of bounds for the average person. Droit de seigneur doesn't apply only to sexual favors, but rather, in the mind of the right wing follower, to all those special dispensations that their elites indulge in.

So we on the left excoriate an Anthony Weiner or a John Edwards because we expect our leaders to adhere to the same moral code we do. On the right, it's very very different.

Do NOT expect them to think, feel, or behave the same way we do.

You guys defended Wiener and Edwards all the way to the end, and don't forget the poster boy for sexual harassment, Bill Clinton.
There is not a shred of evidence that Cain did anything, all we have is hearsay and allegations, unless it is proven otherwise he is innocent.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

DUmmies have no moral codes, so it is very easy for their party leaders to live up to those standards.

Well, an unsuccessful pass is one thing, but with Willie Jeff the allegations were actual rape.

They really don't know us at all.
