Palestinians submit UN statehood bid
By AMY TEIBEL and MOHAMMED DARAGHMEH - Associated Press | AP – 10 mins ago

UNITED NATIONS (AP) — Defying U.S. and Israeli opposition, Palestinians asked the United Nations on Friday to accept them as a member state, sidestepping nearly two decades of failed negotiations in the hope this dramatic move on the world stage would reenergize their quest for an independent homeland.

If this passes, I predict an earlier war with Israel than existed previously.

Uh-oh.............

Agreed.  In my mind, this is just a way to game the system so they don't have to declare Israel's right to exist.

Has to be sped up since Obama's chance for a second look shaky.

Makes sense from their point of view, really.  Still, has a negative values as far as improving anything for either them or the Israelis is concerned.  Abbas would be a dead man walking if he didn't try it now that it's come up, of course.

Aren't they just doing what Obama said they should do earlier this year?

If the UN recognizes them as a sovereign  state and goes so far as to recognize borders for "Palestine", and then attacks continue on Israel, Israel can just declare war on a nation that attacked them first, and wipe their asses off the earth.

We've been told that giving the palestinian dogs a state of their own will bring peace.
But in their own UN speech, they refuse to recognize Israel's right to exist.

OK so how are we getting peace out of this? The palestinian state will be a state of war.

Their idea of peace is the destruction of Israel.

You just cannot support statehood for a group of people who advocate Israeli genocide.

All the while pining for statehood.............

Apparently there are far too many lost causes in the UN who don't agree with you.

I think any US foreign aid money for such places needs to come to a sudden, abrupt and screeching halt personally, but you and I both know where the SCOAMF in Chief falls on this issue.

No doubt about that.  The UN is nothing more than a collection of criminals bilking their citizens and the rest of the world's citizens.
