All Is Not Well In The Fiefdom Of Chicagoland.
« on: September 11, 2011, 09:53:04 PM »
Boorish behavior by Rahm Emanuel is causing quite a stir in education circles around the windy city. Silly me, I was under the impression that democrat administrations and unions always got along famously. Gee, I wonder what gives.
Then again this is Chicago and myself not being from there farbeit from me to understand the Chicago way.

Chicago teacher's union president Karin Lewis is aghast that Emanuel got all up in her grille and made her feel bad and pouty, oh my!

What it all boils down to is outrage on the part of the teacher's union that the Grand Duke of Chicagoland has allegedly gone around the back of the union to directly intimidate teachers into voting for an extended school day.
Grand Duke or not, even such exalted personages must kowtow to the unions and observe protocol, don'tcha know...

Also Emanuel has recently picked up a star player for his team, not exactly a free agent though. New school superintendent Jean-Claude Brizard was recently stolen away from the Rochester, N.Y. city schools. Here in Rochester Brizard abruptly announced his resignation halfway through the school year this past winter and skipped town, bound for Chicago to take up Emanuel on the offer. It certainly came as a surprise when Brizard left Rochester in the lurch and bolted but no tears were shed for his loss in light of the fact that he had recently suffered a vote of no confidence from Rochester teachers.

In fact Brizard proved to be an all around incompetent schlepp the whole time he was here. Perhaps Emanuel was looking for a complete stooge sock puppet sort to head up Chicago's schools? If so he has found a first rate second rate boob in Jean-Claude Brizard and so far as Rochester is concerned Chicago is welcome to him!

This is on the news all the time in obamaville. And did you get a look at Lewis, the union boss?

I would cross heaven and earth to avoid that bitch.

There is just as much political infighting, backstabbing, and skullduggery in Chicago as there is anywhere else, it's just that in Chicago, it all happens strictly within the dominant crime syndicate, which is known on the street as 'Democrats.'

Unfortunately , Chicago is a city that pretty much controls the rest of the state.  It is the main reason for Illinois being the last state without a concealed carry law.
