Rescue Me-The Final Episode

1. Does anyone else follow this show as religiously as I do? Or at least enough to gab about the Series Finale with me. Too excited. Just watched it over again from DVR.

2. Does anyone know the name of the song in the promo, and who does it. Beautiful song.

Nah, I can't stand Leary.  He does play himself, I'll give him that, unfortunately 'himself' is the testosterone-poisoned male counterpart of the bipolar emo crazy girlfriend drama queen, or a non-castrated Alan Alda.

OK...so DAT is out. Anyone else?

Oh, and I found the song. I think it's absolutely great. Emotionally jarring, sad, but awesome.

Yes long time fan of the show. There have been a few episodes where I felt they jumped the shark and I think it's time to end it. I am really happy they timed it to end now (9/11 anniv) and can't wait to see the final episode.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Yeah, Rev--I think I'm out, too.  BTW, Adele also does the gem below.

Her voice is awesome.  What I would give to sing with her . . . !

^ Oh yeah! I do remember her singing this live at the VMAs. Why I watched, I have no idea... I usually hate that "what's hot" formula music shit, but this chick is awesome. The rest of them such as; "Foster the People, Katy Perry, Minaj, and Pitbull can go screw themselves. :censored:

I've watched it from the beginning. I cannot believe they're killing off (at least some) of the principles.

I personally think it's the best series I've seen since I was old enough to watch televison. Or as the DUmors would say...."tee-vee."  :whatever:

Well, I don't know what inside info you may have, but I rather expect a major fire will end the series with a tragic ending for many of them.

I am sure it will be heartbreaking.

9/11/01---9/11/11.

What a TV series - the best ever to remember what happened - yet it entertained.  I never missed an episode.  I love me some Tommy Gavin :-)

I know at least one was lost at the end of last episode. At least that's the way it seemed. However, I'm thinking it may be more than one since they were all in the blocked bulkhead. Sadly, I think Tommy may be one of them. :(

wouldn't it be a mind trip if Tommy has been dead all along? Or if he died in the beachhouse fire a few seasons back?

The first suggestion, I have heard in conversation. The 2nd is new to me, but would also be intriguing. Either way, we're less than 2 hours from finding out. I'm both ecstatic, and crestfallen about that.

Get ready, RM fans. It's almost here!!  :hyper:

Someone on another messageboard laid out the scenarios and I read it somewhere but I can't remember where. I will have to see if I can find it.

The finale was somewhat lackluster, but I did love Scurti, and Leary's banter at the end. Scurti is an excellent actor who can drop one-liners at will. :rotf:

Dammit Lou....  :bawl:

I loved that character, he was really the only reason that I continued to watch the show the last couple seasons.  When I was a young Staff Sergeant back in the early '90's, I had a Company Gunnery Sergeant that would just run my ass ragged, he had the same exact sense of humor and manner of speech that Lou had.  I hated the guy and loved him at the same time.
